Ucsd sfiv

Hey guys,

Just wanted to see who’s down for some games. I know we have 3S and Marvel kids at UCSD, but I have yet to see a thread about SFIV. I’m down for online or offline, but if we’re doing offline I’d much prefer we do it on campus.

I’m down for that. I live off campus by SDSU but while i’m on campus i’m down for some SF 4.

i’d be down, not really near ucsd, but i’d be willing to drive. i just want to play sf4, and not online.

Ya’ll should post up in the regular SD thread, its pretty much all we play.

If we’re doing this on campus, it’s either gonna be in one of our dorms/apartments. Not to be a dick, but I’m living with other students and I think they’d appreciate it if we kept it to fellow UCSD students.

I’m a sophomore at Revelle btw.

I got no car, meng.

I think the regular SD thread has games at Cody’s house regularly, but it’s kinda far from UCSD. Just wanted to know if there were UCSD peeps at SRK.

I’d be down to play on campus once school starts up if there is a place to play.

I’ll be on campus starting tomarrow. Let’s get some sf 4 on (or KoF)!

Actually, I don’t know how often we’ll do this. We’ll organize it once school starts and everyone finds time to get some SF down.

Btw, I have it on PS3 and I only have one stick and two pads… so… yeahh…

Maybe we could do a rotation type thing? Like some days it’s at my place, sometimes it’s another’s… and yeah…

We’ll see.

Yeah that’s cool, let’s see what happens. Even though i’m a San Diego native today is my first time setting foot on UCSD’s campus, going to snoop around today and check out the arcade, hopefully it ain’t as broken as SDSU’s.
Cheers :china:

I was thinking honestly, maybe we should just make a UCSD thread. Not to distract from the popular ‘San diego where and when will you play…’ but they seem localized already in PH and EL Cajon, and since some of us will llive at UCSD through the week maybe it’s a good idea to compile our own thread. Anyways. WTF there is no TV you can bring your own console to at the arcade? They do sell beer though. They got a lounge or some shit we could use a TV at?

Ya’ll can carpool

I’d be down for some matches at UCSD, I got two 360 sticks to contribute if that helps. Don’t really have a setup to contribute since I live far off campus.

Really, anybody at UCSD play SF4? I haven’t seen any at all.

wtf I went to SDSU and had no idea there was an arcade on campus. You talking about the bowling alley?

i’m a freshman at revelle…i only played 3s before but i suck anyway, so i’m open to just playing anything. where can i play…srsly.

You guys should REALLY make an effort to make it out to one of the tournies/casuals during the week. There’s like 20-35 people at the tournies and everyone is COOL. The SD scene was never this big/united before, so you guys should most definitely take advantage of it while it lasts.

I play the shit out of it, but i think there’s no place to play SF 4 right now. A couple dudes are offering to host it out of there pad on campus occasionally, probably do something once the semester really starts?

Yeah the bowling alley had a big screen TV you could bring your own console. I brought TvC for a couple weeks when it was new, FUC, and KoF 98 UM, and my xbox (heavy shit) and sf4 a couple times. Most of the time people were hogging the TV to play smash and gutair hero so i stopped trying to do that. But they have CvS2 there (broken), MvC2, SC2, and Tekken 4 or 5. I don’t know if anyone from SD remembers when Aztec Amusement use to be KB bookstore, but that shit was bad ass, i still play with Finny if anyone remembers those days.

I wish i could mang, you guys are wrecking shop, but my weekday schedule is too fucked up to try to travel to places esp. with no ride, anyone else though i’d suggest going to the PH or wednesday El Cajon gatherings.

I was thinking this. I know it sounds CrAZy! But could we make lol a video game club on campus? I’m not sure what the process is on how to do it, but i could write some stuff up on how videogames bring people from different cultures together, and from different majors etc. UCSD is big on that type of shit atm. Maybe they could give us a space to use on campus with TVs in it already or some shit. Put some flyers up for a thursday or friday night meetings or something. Maybe we get some monies for sticks? CrAZy! I’ll look into it :bgrin:
