Oh shit, NEW MATCH-UPS! I’m REALLY shitty. Like my first SF game that I tried to understand the intricacies of is HD Remix. My suitemate and I usually play first to 5 wins every day, but playing the same guy over and over can only help so much. I just found out about Shoryuken this month.
I don’t know about hosting though. I’m not really confident hosting experienced players while I’m not really good myself. Probably can’t host on weekdays, but weekends I might be able to. Probably not regularly though, maybe once in a while.
well, the idea of hosting isn’t really the idea that you expect to win, but the idea that you get to have competition. I’m more than willing to host if I could, but i can’t as i don’t think my roommies would be too happy with that right now.
Secondly, when people host, they’re usually called casuals - the name implies that there is nothing on the line, just having fun and playing unless people agree to put something on the line.
Besides, i’ve never touched HDR and i’ve only played a bit of ssf2 CE on my wii. I’m practically in the same boat as you.
I live off campus and I take the bus. You’ll get used to it when you get to third year. It really depends on how badly you want to get better at the game.
sorry man, i don’t have class till 5 pm, and that’s just a discussion too. I’m not there on tuesday, but i’m pretty much there all the other days at around 12.
Well, there was this one time when some friends and i went over even when it should have been closed, but the doors were unlocked.
But I think it closes at 9 pm. I think.
dmc: Sure thing. But I think lionheart shows up on tuesdays there. Just played some games with him today at around 6:45.
And now I’m out of quarters - the guy who runs the cabinets collects change every 2 weeks or so, so the machine should be fixed soon. It got jammed by someone like, an hour after the guy left almost two weeks ago, so come with change if you can. Otherwise, you’ll have to buy something if you wish to play. The best way to get change is to go to one of the campus’ cafeterias and just ask for it, but they’re a bit out of the way most of the time.
Weekends would probably be a good time to meet up because there’s free parking, but I usually don’t. haha. Wanna set something up for next weekend? I remember Letbloodrun offered his place as a 3s haven, I’m not sure if he’s still willing though.
Xerym also planned to host this weekend, so we’ll see what happens. If both are able to host, I think it might be better to host at xerym’s as it’s easier for more people to get there.
But for your question about people playing on weekends there, I don’t.
I bumped into an elena player at around 10 am, but I highly doubt that he’ll be a return player. I don’t think that he was a student and this is my first time seeing him.
