for all of those who dont know: MY FUCKING BUTTONS WERE INSTALLED ON THE WRONG DAM MACHINE (mvc2) so i got a big FUCK YOU from the fucking tech on my birthday (thanks asshole) but good news came in and wepeel tells me that hes prolly gonna order some new ones for the cvs2 machine so that all 3 will have convex buttons, HUZZAH! but seriously, there is NO difference in cost or complexity between concave and convex buttons so there is no reason to be using shit ass buttons when we can have ones that are…better.
alright this gonna be a long post i decided…
NCR3: was pretty dope, minus the fact that i got pretty badly owned. I had to play “Jeff” and UCRollerblader, both are pretty solid players and had no problem beating me. I did manage to play some casuals against some really good players as well as watch some great matches (lots of crazy john choi N-akuma ish) I had alot of fun watching the other games too, 3s, marvel, tekken with Insanelee yelling like a mother when choi was playing “Thats MAH BOOI!!” The dynamic 3s duo of Emphy and Venkat seemed to get peaced out earlier than i thought they would in both the team and singles tournies but it was still cool to play with them afterwards and get in n out. it was fun for the most part other than i almost left cause i was getting pretty bored toward the end
Evo Dvd: i watched most of the cvs2 and 3s, and some matches from the rest and the extra footage as well. This years dvd is wayyyyy better than last year in terms of organization, it was a damn mess last year with matches that when you selected them, some other match came up. Eliot still doesnt know where the fuck Hsien Chang went after he beat mopreme in 2003. The matches range from boring to freakin sick, with the worst matches being 2 players playing hella boring ass styles. But the main gripe i have with this dvd is the complete lack of bonus matches for 4 out of the 5 games shown. Marvel got royal fucking treatment this year, so if you like marvel or wanna learn, defininatnly something to consider. With finals matches + 2.5 pages of bonus matches, all of which are 2/3, thats alot of fucking footage. The extra footage is actually pretty entertaining and its about 25 minutes long of skill running around with a video camera catching some funny stuff on tape. as for you 3s people, good shit but if youre buying it for JUST 3s, then i dont think i would purchase it unless youre gonna split it with someone who likes marvel.
I will “DEFININATNLY” consider checking out marvel now!
