I think we had a good turnoutā¦we had 16 people exactly for the CvS2 tourney, which made things easier with the bracketsā¦except at the end when a few people were confused about the matches of the grand finalsā¦
Dentron vs. Ken I. - aww man, that jumping butt-move MUST have a weakness, right? heheā¦next time, they will see the power of your customsā¦
Me vs. Eugene - got killed as usualā¦what sucks is that I didnāt really learn much from this match. Just the usual beatdownā¦plus, I messed up what is probably the easiest custom in the worldā¦blehā¦
Abel vs. Fernando - ohhhh manā¦fear the power of blanka!!! it sucked that you lost, Abel, but I have to admit, it was kinda funny too ^_^;

Art vs. Amir - Sagatā¦too powerfulā¦it was great watching those unreal comebacks. Roll cancelling everywhere! That sakura grab exhibition had to be seen to be believed! I really liked how when the Sakura CC would mess up (like once in 10), you would still continue it and still inflict massive damageā¦good Ken lvl2 cancels; interesting use of meaty close s.mkā¦ahh this is all on the videos, it was good stuff all around, and it was cool that you guys didnāt let the loud 3s banter get to your guysā concentrationsā¦
As for the 3s tourney, I guess it was fun using Ken? Hahaā¦sorry Shogo, Iām not much of a 3s player

John: Well, the consensus seems to the be that the tourney ran smoothly, aside from the occasional bumps that happened whenever there was someone up to play 3s/CvS2 but was on CvS2/3s, respectively. Somewhere near the end of the tourney, though, there were a couple of people who were experiencing problems with the sticks, so, I think itās rather imperative that the tech guy check the wiring and such, and keep the machine in top notch conditions. As for 3s, WHERE ARE T3H BU770NZ? I asked alice about it a long time ago, to which she said sheād give the bag with the buttons to the tech guy so he could put them in, but nothing happened. Can you please find out where they went?
As for you hip Marvel cats, the biggest problem is that the tech guy is still sort of a dick. We told him that the switches + sticks were at his disposal, and he flat out refused to install them. The sticks in question are the replacements for the ones currently on the 3s machine, but since theyāre pretty much coasting in terms of working condition, i donāt think theyāll need it anytime soon, and so they should be put in. I dunno, I recommend everyone add some pressure, like when alice comes in, make sure you talk to her about these issues. I see her come in and remind her, but, if iām the only one talking, sheāll think that Iām just a looney and nobody really cares that much about the machines.
Anywho, tourney ran great, Allen turned out to be a beast, Amir slaughtered us, Danielās 243542525452435 genei jin combo still couldnāt finish off a ken with a pixel of life, and we all had fun in the process. I thank everyone that came to hang with us lowly ZZ players, and I hope we can expect you guys the next time we have these ābox socialsā
Finally: THE JANITOR NEEDS TO FUCKING STOP BEASTING. I am sad that I lost, but itās impossible to stay mad at the guy, I mean, he really wasnāt trying to be a dick or anything, he just went with whatever was working, and he was oblivious to all our anger/frustration. Too gangster to be mad at.

Today, I asked Alice to put the buttons in, and she said that she would ask the Primetime people. The reason they didnāt put it in sooner is cuz Primetime refused to put in the sticks, simply cuz since those machines belonged to them, we couldnāt tamperā¦but in terms of JUST the buttons, I think we can get that arranged. Alice just didnāt know that the buttons are relatively easy to replace, and shouldnāt be much of a problem. So all you 3s players, get ready for convex!
On a side noteā¦I love the lollipop joysticks at Arcade Infinity! The buttons are sooooo nice too; I actually managed to pull off RC fireballs, RC flash kicks, and some other easy RCās consistently! I like how those Japanese buttons also donāt make a lot of soundā¦better for mind games (even though itās not relevant cuz thereās no competition there)

yeah i have that vid, saw it hella days ago, thats why i wanna play it
yah. japanese joysticks are smaller so they cause less movement I noticed. So when u try to do roll cancels or 360 motions itās a lot easier. The problem is since Im more used to longer american sticks I get a lot of motions wrongā¦ like if I play 3S and I try to do back fierce with necro I accidentally do back-down feirceā¦ or if I try to move in one direction I end up jumpingā¦
AI only cater to snk players thoā¦ itās hard to play cramped 3S there and the GGXX sticks never work well (I cant dash for the life of me).
also life plaza has good drinks coz theyre great quality at 2 for one but have u tried Ten Renās? itās the best quality (taste-wise I guess, they still use some syrups over fresh fruit) u can get! if u get a regular cold tea or somethin the ice is so damn clean that it will take you lots of effort to throw your finished drink away (unless eat the ice)ā¦ but itās very expensive (not as expensive as cha tho) so it makes a good date dessert spotā¦ and also yahā¦ never eat at life plaza, uāll get sickā¦
