All I need is an update on the quarters, and we’re good to go. The 3rd Strike cabinet will be receiving the convex buttons, but I’m not sure when that can be ready…I don’t think it’s the biggest necessity in the world, so yeah…
The technician checked all of the sticks and buttons…things should be working fine. Unless your name is Sam and you make machine gun noises when you do Hyper Viper Beam (on the ground)…

NATE: hey i got the DJ-b13 tricks of the trade vid. I saw the king cross up super. this is how you do it:
Do the multi kicking move, right after knock down, dash foward, do lvl 3 jumpback super.
this has to be done RIGHT away, and i think it may only work if the character is wide, like blanka, sagat, geese, and they might have to be crouching. not sure though, check out it for yourself. and dont’ do use that cross up super on me, k thx bye

ok when i was thinking of whacky marvel players one guy immediately popped into my mind. There’s this one guy who plays marvel, wears sunglasses, and makes these “gun” (or whatever that shit is) type of sounds when he plays. he makes it for EVERYTHING; when he does a normal attack, while he jumps, calls an assist, and especially during a super.
aight Wes played him once and rushed his ass to game over. he started callin him cheap, and all that stuff. Wes said that guy was makin those sounds while playin him.
when i first heard and saw him play mvc2 i was astounded. i couldn't take my eyes off him... it was so hilarious watchin him do that, but i also thought, "man, there's a guy who's havin fun playin that game." thank goodness he goes to zot zone.
perhaps that last paragraph was a little too random....i call him the SFX guy

i was watching a japanese cvs2(i think). one person was using K-kyo, he got knockedown(and raged when he got knockdown), on wake up he did DP(it looks like he tried to, it could have been another move, but the other guy caught fire so it hink it’s wake up DP), the other player manage to hit K-kyo with some move, which caused K-kyo to fall on his feet, and immediately K-kyo did the qcb,hcf+p super(forget the name is it orochi soemething?) and that super hit the other guy while falling in the air. just thought it was interesting.

oh and yes!! maki player yay ^_^, just learned another 720 setup. small jump fierce, land, 720…hehehe, simple setup, but i never tried it…so yea now i might use it as well.

Allen: It looks to me like the poor kyo player who traded with the uppercut was doing a crouching short. I have a feeling the raged kyo saw this coming rather than reacting, as crouching shorts seem to be the most popular anti-wakeup attack and lights have the power to trade with uppercuts sometimes.
I’ll be “busting” hibiki at zot zone shortly. Now I know she’s an average-at-best character, but that’s the way I like it, so I don’t want to hear it from you damn cvs2 veteran bastards. I’ll get that custom and you’re all going to watch it in awe. Well, at least eugene is before he calls cheap.

Here’s my ranking of the grooves in CvS2(This is all my opinion…keep in mind that I haven’t played this game ‘seriously’ nor tried to learn anything new in it in a very long time, so please correct my uninformed opinion if you’d like.)
- TIE: A-groove/K-groove
- C-groove
- N-groove
- P-groove
- S-groove
Incidentally, A and K are both fucking retarded. A-groove because custom combos are just gay to begin with IMO, but expecially when you get instant invincibility by simply pressing buttons. Not to mention that it lets you roll-cancel, which is the stupidest fucking thing in this entire game. Plus the uncounterable customs are just reallyreally stupid. K groove is gay just because you get so many supers, and subsequently so many lucky level 3s. I know because I use K often and it’s total bullshit.
Both grooves make you a ‘ticking time bomb,’ and the only way to smartly play against it is to turtle like a bitch(esp. K-groove), in my opinion. Sorry, but I think any part of the game that forces you to be so defensive is just stupid. I just don’t turtle like a bitch because I must have adhd or somethign when it comes to these games.
Also, wtf is with keeping meter in K only if you win the round? So basically if I am using K and I barely lose the 1st round, and then win the second pretty early into the round, I’m better off than if I had just won the first round to begin with? Gay.

Marvel earnings were 146.25. Yup, those DDR people are slacking, but they still manage to up MvC2! It would be nice to see the competition we had last year…that was good stuff. I don’t really see Wes around anymore…I never did beat him once at that game
