I just got another TV for my house for a grand total of 3 - so does anyone want to session on the weekend of the Feb 6th?

Honestly guys its difficult to pick a day that everyone can be there for, I think Friday night is a terrible night, but I’m old and married so I have stuff to do. Weekday nights worked well for us in the past, though I think weekend days/early afternoon could work surprisingly well (especially like Sunday afternoons)
Holding a tourney in the Griffin lounge would be a no go from my standpoint. Honestly I think console versions are always inferior to the arcade, regardless of their ported quality, due simply to the difference in impact of sitting/standing at an arcade machine vs a tv and some sticks. I haven’t gone to EVO (or dating me…the B series) since they changed to console. T

And thinking about it really quickly, I would prefer a tourney in the cave, cause having an arcade feel does make a difference imo. The Griffin is a good idea though if the former doesn’t work out.
Not sure how we can have a session when the game isn’t even out yet, but if someone has a copy, I’m all for it.
I meant a session for random games until SF4 comes out, and then SF4 sessions at my place.
And by random games, i mean shit like CvS2, MvC2, SF3:3S, T5DR, SSF2THDR, HnK, and probably some retro shit like Bomberman, Tetris Attack, or some other non-fighting game.

I personally thought that Friday was a good day to have it, but I would have preferred an earlier start time. We didn’t finish till like 8:30. Weekends get too packed, and we’d probably lose business from the regular customers if the cave was being taken over by the tournament. Friday gave a 17 person turnout which was a good number. But if Fridays are bad for most of you guys I’m down for tournaments either Tuesday or Thursday starting at 2:30. But I think Friday is the way to go.
Allen shows no mercy, but he eats random Ganryu launches - so I guess it balances out.
I’m cool for for all of those except for 3S, cuz console is ass. I need to learn Tekken so I don’t get raped when T6 comes out on console.

I’ve been barking at that tree for some time now, but finally gave up. My boss says it’s a no go. No matter how hard I plead. The tekken crowds arent as big to guarentee that the machine would pay for itself anytime soon
