Gamechariot records most of their matches directly from the cabinet, probably with a video splitter setup between the cab and the HD monitors.

We’d probably be better off just having someone with a tripod/camcorder recording though. You’d be able to get crowd reactions that way and it won’t be a total pain to setup :looney:

Oh yeah, the jab button on 2P side is still feelin flimsy. It works, but there’s electrical tape on it to hold it in place and it just feels weird as a result. Hope that shit gets sorted out before Saturday

Marty is the king of exploiting. He was getting his shit ruined by my friend in SF3 and he knew the guy can’t tech throws to save his life, so he won 2 straight rounds with throws.

True story:

I glanced into the arcade room a couple of months ago to check in on the games and I saw Marty playing Tekken against someone. I walked in and saw that the other player was a disabled kid in a wheelchair who was moving the joystick with his mouth while simultaneously mashing the buttons with the side of his head. Marty was trying to be nice (I think, he might just suck) and let the kid win the first two rounds. After the kid won the second round, he looked over at Marty and smirked, or possibly drooled. In either case, Marty’s eyes lit up like Eric Bana/Edward Norton and his inner Hulk came out. Marty destroyed the kid, who was playing as the panda thing, and the kid started to cry.

So Marty spit on him.

yeah today was a funny day. i beat allen (sagat, yes sagat) and dennis (guile) in mirror matches and they both were pretty upset. well, i had to play cheap against allen cuz i cant play sagat for shit. im a retard when it comes to non-charge characters.

Anyways, on a serious note if anyone is interested in having tournaments talk to either me or dan. i think a good day to hold them would be on fridays since i have no class on those days and i think dan works fridays as well. i probably wont enter, but ill provide some awesome commentary. and when we have tournaments someone bring a video camcorder, or whatever u call them. just talk to one of us and we’ll try to set something up.

I’m still pretty pissed that the MadCatz sticks can’t have both 360/PS3 connection because of Microsoft’s licensing policy. That makes things harder for me.

From the looks of it, all of us want that tourney to happen. yay! I will make sure not to pick Guile and dig my own grave if I enter.

good games today Marty. Despite getting my ass kicked, I wasn’t upset at all. Nope, not at all[/denial] nah, really though, the Guile mirror matches are fun and it’s a nice change of pace to see both of us playing really patiently, you more than me lol. I really wanna learn the character. Probably will now have to watch match vids or something

I swear I’m going to get good with the family man. When the game comes out to home consoles next month, I’m going to put my laptop with shoryuken next to me and practice up.

I would probably be able to hold some sessions, I have a big screen, ps3, and stick but soon to be 2 sticks.

Yeah, after watching some vids now and whatnot, I’m once again telling myself that I’m submitting myself to torture. I think I’m going to scrap Guile for the time being and just use Sagat. The new shoryuken home page is telling me to do so too.

On the other hand, this could be better since all the students will already be on campus. If anything, this could be a good test to see if it does work or not. Last year it seemed to do okay. idk
How should the word get out that there’ll be a tourney though? Should someone post a notice on the SF4 machine or somewhere by the cave?
