This is for the UCD MU Old School vs. New School sign ups.
Interested participants must be UCD students past or present. Exceptions to this rule will be determined by me.
Please post handle, real name, year in school, first tourney at the MU(best guess), games you specialize in.
Games will be determined by number of willing participants, but as it stands the game list is like this:
I’m Jacob, a Senior that transferred Summer of 2002. Technically I’ve been gone to the MU since July of 02, but I had no idea what I was doing in CvS2. Anyways, the first tourney I joined was last Feb for GGXX.
I only play Guilty Gear, and most of the OG don’t seem to play it seriously. If this OS vs NS thing pulls through, I’d like to have a grudge match with Eric Chan. Sol vs Slayer. First to five. Seasoned vet vs random MU scrub. Dun dun da dun dun dun da dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnnn.
P.S: I’ll play any of the OG crew (except for Tanaka) for tokens in XX, just set up a day and time and I can report the results on our main thread.
Dunno about you but I think that would make things very interesting. Have a game that no one really knows how to play, and Tanaka is banned. We’ll have some intense matches!
I’m new school, but I don’t even go to UCD. Does that disqualify me? Oh well whatever. I’d participate as part of the new school GGXX team, but GGXX is a piece of fucking trash and I hate it. ^_~
does being a veteran player at birdcage have any consistency being defined as an old school player other than the wishy washy requirement of being a UCD student? Does playing at Birdcage when street fighter 2 came out act as old skool??? :dp:
I’m Will (the black one), I’m a sophmore. First tourney was probably when they first started; probably sometime right after the MU got CVS2… seriously. But I don’t deserve to be called old skool. I’ll play GGXX and CVS2 (Just for laughs)
It’s not a toughie at all, by old-school I think Tim is reffering to the old click of friends who were wrecking havoc at MU long before you guys started playing. And that means you, Ryan. Back in the day, when Tuan was my first rival in MVC2 and when me, Eric, Mike, Tim and Phil Chen would never play eachother cuz we all shared games w/ eachother and wrecked house. We were the old-school click of gamers at the MU. (Jin super, “dooo doo dooo doo!” This was Phil’s face)
And for the new-school Tim is talking about all of the new regulars that Tim does’nt know who the fuck is who so he decided to challenge all of you for one last triumph for ego.
So maybe if you have never gotten drunk w/ Tim or something, then he considers you new-school. haha.
alright the white boy is back…I can play mvs or cvs, and since all the new people dont know how to play mvc1, I can dominate them for laughs with spiderman captain america.
And really what can koreans be proud of? All they have is kim-chi, taekwondo, and starcraft.
