Lol Damn…Everybody is all worried about Tanaka. I guess they forgot about the rest of the old schoolers there. You guys would be amazed. Some of us are bigger threats than even Tanaka. Definitely will have to represent for all the old schoolers that can’t show up. Except maybe Jaws.
Wow, does everyone jock Tanaka now or something? When did he ascend to this godly status? Tanaka’s always just been a cool guy, both to hang out with and play games with; I dont know about this idolizing shit. Granted, I consider Tanaka to be the best all around gamer in Davis( and definitely the most dedicated), but you cant really say he’s unbeatable in every game. There’s people who can challenge Tanaka in every game. In MVC2 you cant overlook wholefnshow, lilswtaznboi(rusty, but still dirty), and the ugly three headed monster known as the lew bros. In CVS2, I hear Andy’s pretty good, shuma’s pretty good. Even in alpha 3, there’s kevin park( aka soomighty himself). I guess Tanaka is the best at guilty gear and 3rd strike, but it’s not like there isn’t anyone who can give him decent comp at those games. Well my point is it’s not like tanaka is just gonna embarass everyone and OCV the field all the time. I guess if he does that’s ok too, cause tanaka is old school right?
p.s. since I’m BY FAR the weakest of the old school players, I should be given an automatic berth in some of these games…yeah, that makes sense; doesn’t it Tim?

Idolizing Tanaka?
All I said is that he is going to win because he is. I’ve been going here for a year, and I’ve seen more tournaments than you have. And, Tanaka can beat everyone in Reno Crew.
If you thought my slight mention of Tanaka was idolizing, then you should see the way that other people mention him in every other sentence; whether or not you’re online.

I honestly don’t think you’ve seen more tournaments than I have. Unless you’ve been around since the A3/MvC1 days…then no. One yr is really nothing compared to the old school krew and how long we’ve been here. Hell we’ve been here longer than Tanaka. We’ve seen a lot of tournaments and seen players come and go, and plenty that were more skilled than Tanaka. Not to bag on him, he’s my homeboy and he’s got a high level of gameplay in every game but like I said before, there’s much more to worry about than Tanaka in terms of MU players old or new.
i always thought that lilswtaznboi is more scary than tanaka, just my opinion (ok so i only play[ed] cvs2 and ggxx)… i’ve won some games against tanaka in the past (ok so he wasn’t playing his best) but i don’t remember ever beating eric chan. that and every time he disappears for a while and comes back saying how much he sucks now, he still owns me and everyone when he comes to the MU and plays any game.
i remember in my first year here (4 years ago?) when i first started playing at MUGA (cvs1 at that time, later on that year there was cvs2) the 3 ppl i was really scared of were tanaka, eric chan and mike kent (payaso wasn’t in davis yet at that time). the others i still had a slight chance of winning, but against those 3 it’s 0%.
