UAS-Classic Controller users- How do you have your buttons mapped?

I’m wondering how you guys go about it, because I’d like some suggestions for my own mappings.

I use the default one.

Y = L
X = M
A = H
B = P

y - A
x - B
a - C
b - P
r - ABC (so i can use it to dash and press r+b to crash)

I use the default config as well. Kind of wished that ZL and ZR were usable, but oh well.

Yeah, running default’s probably best. If you plan on using Zero or Joe you might want to set your L- bumper to A.

L=p
r=h+m
-=abcp
b = a
a=b
y= abc
x=c

Why’s that?

to charge his blaster for his combos.

Ahhh, good point. I really should get thinking about some more of those, but I still have so much to figure out yet.

y = A
x = B
a = C
b = P
L = no use
R = B+C

  • = Taunt

I originally had R = A+B+C (the default) but I think it’s a bit unfair to mash out advance guard that easily, I want to learn it properly. Same thing goes for IAD.

I use Karas/Roll btw.

X=A
A=B
B=C
Y=P
L=C
R=ABC

It’s kind of a pain to have to remap L constantly if I want to use Zero ~_~

Standard, but with R and L switched around so that I can hold buttons when I mess with Zero and Joe the Conder more easily. This way I can use my thumb to hold Y/A while pressing X/B (using the thumb too) and then holding R/C for Joe the Condor’s Shuriken combos.

For some reason I could never hold L while inputting pad motions, so I switched them. Basically.

Ohey I actually never thought of that.

Makes things much easier.

Either way:
Y - Weak
X - Medium
A - Hard
B - Partner
L - M + H
R - L + M + H
Select - Taunt

Y - A
B - B
A - C
X - P
L - P
R - A+B+C

-I flipped the front-4 buttons for some reason, it just feels better to me.
-Putting L as P and R as ABC makes mega-crashing just L+R. Easy mode.
-I use L for Assists and VHCs, while I use X+whatever (usually C) for BBQ. Pretty easy and intuitive for me.
-This is probably a bad config for Zero/Voltnutt. You would be better off setting a shoulder button as a button you can charge your buster with.

Y - Weak
X - Medium
A - Hard
B - Partner
L - Currently not assigned
R - L + M + H

I unassigned the L-trigger because I kept pressing it expecting an air recovery (too much Alpha 3).

When I used to play the import with a CC I left it default and shut off all the shortcuts.

That’s a real man’s way to play TvC on a CC.

Y - Light
X - Medium
A - Heavy
B - N/A
R - LMH
L - Partner

Mapped the partner button to L to avoid X+B inputs.

Default face buttons. Right shoulder as dash, left shoulder as partner. I have partner on the left shoulder to make it easier to jump, air dash, pressure with an aerial, and call an assist simultaneously. Also makes it far easier to integrate assists into ground combos.

I have a question: are you guys playing with your thumbs or fingers for your attack inputs?
and Joystick or D-Pad?

I’m using dpad + thumbs, but I have a feeling that using fingers leads to better execution in the long run (in the same way real typing on a keyboard>chicken finger).

The problem with the joystick is that it’s awkwardly placed at a lower level…if only it was placed where the d-pad was.
