I could see a ton of people I knew in high school doing something like this. Where I lived, joining the Marines was like being accepted into an ivy league school out of high school. There was a group of idiots that thought enlisting entitled them to a certain privilege above others and I know they carried their immature clique mentality into the military with them.
Seriously though as much as bullying sucks for those being bullied, it points out major flaws in both our self imposed limits and rules set forth to ensure equality and civilization and in a person’s social abilities (both sides honestly) when it reaches levels where they must kill themselves to end it. I have two nephews who were taught to go to a teacher if anyone bothered them. Naturally this has caused them both to be lower tier class mates and incapable of solving disputes themselves, which I think is the biggest problem with bullying in the long run.

Bullying has always been a problem. What about kids who weren’t as strong as their tormentors, or who didn’t want to fight and didn’t feel as though school is an environment where they had to actually physically fight someone?
Bullies getting arrested for bullying? Good.
Actions carry responsibility. If you bully someone and they can’t handle it and they do something stupid to themselves, guess what? you’re responsible whether you like it or not, whether the guy was weak or not weak is irrelevant. You lacked impeccability in your actions and now you’ve got what’s coming to you, end of story. That’s why it’s always important to think about what you’re doing no matter how small.
I think you’re right. They are pretty much up there on the food chain (#2, I believe). America only cares about racism toward the bottom of the food chain (latinos, black).
nah, Latino’s face far less racism than asians eventhough asians are at the top of the food chain. obviously not as much as blacks probably because there arent that many asians in America (or Europe). You should see the amount of racist comments posted on dailymail articles about asians, lol (east asians I’m talking about), even Indians have it better than they do.
I worked in a casino in central London six years ago, the majority of our clients were asian… I didnt have a problem with them but my manager (who’s English) despised them just because they had alot of money. I couldnt believe some of the racist shit he’d say about asians behind their backs but he’d be polite to their faces.

Must be a UK thing. In my experiences blacks get it the worst everywhere in the world. And according to some censuses latinos are technically white.

Exactly, we do get it the worse because we look the least like whites than all the other races, and yes, Latino’s are generally white and extremely racist.
I think the sympathy coming from SRK is the silliest thing I have seen in a while. People here will go out of their way to cut down a new member and make him/her feel like shit and will try to destroy older members that say something that a few popular members don’t agree with. Oh, right, this is the internets and that kind of stuff doest really matter…even though most people spend a great deal of their lives interacting with other people on the internets. Lol.

As an Asian who was active duty military before and a current National Guardsman, yes, there is a lot of racism towards Asians in the military. At the higher ranks, where it becomes more of a who you know rather than what you know, it’s very difficult to move ahead since there aren’t other Asians helping you out most of the time. Trying to get E-7 is a lot of politics.
Which annoys me as we always like to act like latinos are our brothers in arms or something. I’m like go to California and see just how brotherly blacks and latinos are.
