Its good to see lots of improvement in GGXX. Especially on Simon’s part. Also, lots of credit to Robin for playing a really tricky Jam. One day though, I will figure out that match-up… I’ll have it down pact. Just wait. Bridget’s reign of terror will continue… later.

i was about to put my copy up on ebay too. the finishing bids seem to be hitting around 15- 20 dollars.

aggiefan-- you’re only 16 yrs old rite??? well, if u have the chance, u should go 2 a tourney outside of davis…very different feeling esp when there’s $5 entry. the davis monthly feels sorta like a weekly but w/ more money cuz i think itz still the same amt of ppl.
i remember sjsu and ucb having a monthly or big tourney where it was top notch and u gain hella experience. imagine a final fantasy game. if u go 2 a davis weekly or monthly u gain 100exp pts. but if u go 2 1 of those really big tourneys then u gain 3 lvls!!!.
yea i can remember when mvc2 and cvs2 came out, the lew bros would study videos and practice stuff and test stuff 2 get better. we were so into it that we traveled to svgl’s weeklies 2 get better in cvs2 so we can play choi, cole, and them.
but rite now, i think the usa players r hungry 4 a new game such as that capcom fighting jam cuz mvc2, cvs2, and such r getting old so the hype of getting better isnt there like it once was.

I play GGXX once in a while but it’s not the same feel as MvC2. Certain games will make you always play on your toes. If that game does then that’s the game you love.
For Lews…MvC2 forever. Cuz that’s where our history started.

anyways tanaka, me and mikey are gonna roll by ur pad saturday night (around 9 or something, we’ll give u call), to play some cvs and 3s, hopefully anthony and some more peeps can show like andy,ryan,dan,scamp. 
I don’t want to bring up a touchy issue that’s already over, but I need to know some things.
I wasn’t there, so I can’t comment on what Jacob said. But I am very likely to say a lot of things while playing a game. I can’t always understand what’s appropriate and what’s not appropriate while playing. All I know is that I like to talk while playing.
Not only do I talk, but I’m also very likely to say really abstract things such as Jake’s pokemon comment. While some things may be rude, I dunno about getting mad and such over such trivial comments.
The way I see it, it doesn’t matter what you say as long as it’s not a personal comment. Everything else is fair game. I just hope I don’t offend anyone in the future.
In any event, since Tanaka is free all day tomorrow I hope to play some games. Oddly, I’m kinda feeling a 3s kick, which might explain my recent struggles at GGXX. On the other hand, I really don’t understand why Capcom doesn’t tweak more of their games like Sammy did with GG. Not make a whole new sequel, just some tweaks.
Actually, I take that bad. The DID tweak 3s, didn’t they? But instead of balancing things out, they just removed some of Urien and Oro’s unblockables. I just don’t get it…
A-groove is way more fun to play than turtle-happy K groove, and getting laughed at by everyone for accidently firing off a lvl 1 super after activation is just more motivation for me to learn! ^^

not taking summer sessions here. neither one.
during session one time (june-july) i’ll be playing at the bearcade at berkeley instead… (tho i doubt i’ll have much time at all to do that, as i have a more packed work schedule this summer than last)
and during session two time (august and perhaps some of sept) i’ll be playing at the arcades in hong kong :rolleyes:
