So what is going on with TWars? Haven’t really been around and haven’t really seen any updates here or on the website.
just wanted to say im not going to make it tomorrow. I work till 4 and busing to samamish is a little over 2 hours for me so i wouldn’t even get there until around 7 at the earliest. Also id have no way home.
So what the heck is the schedule? Someone was saying playoffs are next saturday? (Aug. 14th) If they are I almost definitely won’t be able to make it as I have to be in Olympia pretty much that whole day.
yes they are on august 14th. The Vega division is playing this saturday.

I’ll try to leave work an hour early next week for play-offs, so I’m pretty positive my matches will be able to be played around 5-Later if that’s kosher with Nolan.
I get off work at 7. Would I be too late for my matches by then?
Can we get some times? If it’s in the evening I may be able to make it, but probably nothing before like 6-7.
I had a bit of a bitter experience last night against Mikhail that I wanted to put out there and call him on regarding my request to use Ryu instead of Makoto/Juri for our matches.
At the character select screen, Mikhail denied me from using Ryu during our match however when asked about it here 1 week ago, he said he was fine with it…
After losing the match, Mark and I walked away to talk about the match in which Constantine came up to me and said the following “Mickey, I had no idea that was going to happen, I thought I was playing your Ryu.” I really appreciated the honesty in Constantine and gave a sore judgmental look at Mikhail instead. I’ll keep those opinions to myself, however I want to bring this up for the second time because I don’t want to be blind sighted like I was with Mikhail.
My team is in the play offs, I plan to compete with Mark Santos. I am currently registered with Makoto/Juri. I am requesting to use Ryu during my matches, does anyone have a PROBLEM with this. Please tell me if you do and I will have no qualms with it what so ever. I merely want to know WHO to train with in the following week…Makoto, or Ryu.
If anyone has a problem with me playing Ryu, please let me know but more importantly, please stay true to your word when we meet face to face.
Anyone who chooses to face your Ryu is in for some trouble. I hope people in your division are confident enough to allow you to use your real character.

Mickey, when he said “rules are rules” that means he expected you to bide by the same contract everyone has to regarding the use of characters and how they are locked in place. Simple miscommunication. I honestly don’t know why you picked Juri over Ryu though, especially judging by character experience. My Abel hasn’t seen action in quite some time, but I know people would get salty if I started picking Sagat in TW. I personally don’t care if you were allowed to switch out Juri for Ryu, in fact the matches would be more entertaining that way so I would prefer to see it. Good luck with your matches though, whatever happens!
Being blind sided sucks, but ultimately, it was his decision in the end. He wanted to win, and you know, underhanded tactics are still legitimate tactics if it is to win. He baited you in a sense.
People make out of character choices when money is on the line…
Mickey, I apologize if I wasn’t clear enough in my post but like Ghrrk said, when I said that “rules are rules”, I meant exactly what I said - rules are there for a reason. My offer to play your Ryu was in response to you saying “however I still would like to play Ryu against you even with the disqualification.” I thought you meant in casuals while you were there.
Please don’t think of me as blind-siding you on purpose or anything similar, because when I say something, I will make sure to do it. I respect everybody in the scene and I would NEVER do this anyone.
Jared: Seriously man - “underhanded tactics?” I didn’t realize that someone who wants to abide by the rules of the fucking tournament that you know… EVERY OTHER TEAM ABIDED BY can be considered a backstabber. Rules are there for a reason, if you guys don’t want them, talk to Frank about this for the next season (if there is one), but don’t go rolling barrels on me for following the rules.
Now you misunderstood me, :P. I said “underhanded tactics” were in the context of how Mickey’s interpretation of your original post was, hence why he felt bitter.
No joke, this wasn’t a personal attack though so don’t think I was like “Hey, Mikhail’s a douche bag!” haha.
It doesn’t matter to me the rules for next season because they won’t apply to me, but with your post I will say this: In the play-offs, I would NOT allow Mickey to use Ryu against me, it’s just how I would do it. Should be no different in the regular season, because who knows, someone else might have gained that play-off spot if they were to enforce the rules.
No point in getting butt hurt over every little thing.
