No SFIV tournament next week. I was thinking if Tekken wants to run one they can (since we are running one this week to get people to actually watch the Tekken playoffs…)
Also when we start up the 1.5 ranbat single tournament, I’d like to change the prefunk tournament to 2v2 single elim. (or double elim if time permits). I think it’ll be a great idea and to get people into the swing of things for Season 2. Plus a singles prefunk then a singles main seems a bit redundant.

Yo what’s the loss? No need to make people miss out at all if others don’t mind holding it down. Let’s do both. I originally voted for after but now let me change my vote to both, so fuck the tie breaker. 2 tournaments is a win-win no lose situation.
I just seen this thread and noticed it was still tied. My vote goes for both as well. Tanaka is right, why make others miss the event that they are use to coming. Its no problem to hold two because the under 21 miss out on the early tourney. So running both satisfies both parties. Tekken can also run their tourney, they have always run a tourney side by side the SF4 singles. So i really do not see the problem. I’ll even volunteer to run the brackets for the late tourney.

Ok. I will do two tourneys then, one regular like and one after like if we have enough interest. Ill be there at 7:30 and plan to start things at 8pm. We need setups though. Reason for saying after was because more people I talked to liked the after idea oddly enough.
After Tekken TWars we will move setups into the lounge to see how well that works. I will stay to run both tourneys if people still want to do the second. I really wish people had said more about this before lol.
And Frank, that sounds awesome for Ranbats, let me know if you want any help or input from me on that.

I was kinda hoping ppl would watch and support the tekken scene as they are apart of Seattle too…seeing that Tekken won’t be apart of season 2 and all that.
Starting the tourney @ 8PM should get it done before TWars starts @ 10:30PM. I will be watching the Tekken matches, and I think we should all make a show of support for the Tekken guys and stick around. so is there gonna be 2 tourneys? if theres one thatll start prior to tekken, then will there be a break when tekken starts then the other one will begin? or is tehre gonna be only one singles before tekken and then casuals after? i dont think the bar should be opened that late for casuals. niggas can play casuals any day of the week (as if they dont already).
edit: pretty much what im saying is, i think there should be only one tourney, and taht should be after tekken, so everyone can participate.

I think Jodo meant the restaurant instead of the lounge. We were thinking 3 setups all up front (one on the left booth, the main TV, one on the right booth)
Josh we’re running 2 tourneys since some ppl can make the pre funk, and the minors can play in the post one. This is also a good test to see how long tournaments will be running when we get to the single ranbat.

This is the idea, I will bring my power strip plus yours which I still have. I think we can get 3 setups in the front (counting the big screen) and then 2-3 setups in the back (near the booths and such).
Worst case, I want to atleast have 3 setups in the resturant so we can have things running smoothly. I do think we will end up leaving some in the Lounge, but we’ll just have to see how it looks. I’m sure hte majority of the players will still be over 21, but multiple setups in the Resturant also makes for an easier viewing time for anyone that wants to watch.
I will need help running the brackets on this one - but I think we can manage it.

I like the idea of throwing aliases on that indicate a minor - I’ll plan on just doing a (M) or something on the end of their name.
It sounds like we are going to need monitors, so even if you can’t bring a setup but you have an LCD or something that you don’t mind bringing, that’d really be appreciated.
I apologize in advance if I get disorganized or something - I am going to enter both Tourneys personally but I will probably try not to jump into casuals or anything as long as any tourney is running.
I’ll have my camera, and planning on recording matches during both sessions, in between (during Tekken) I will save all the videos from the first tournament to my Laptop.
