TVC US version character changes (to be updated)

My main question is what version will get used at tournaments? At this point i feel like training on the JPN version is pointless. But it’s all i/we have at the moment. Honestly since playing the new version i feel it’s sort of a different game.

Are the Japanese arcades getting the western version updates or just the added characters?

I can’t wait another 3 months. Must. Train. Now!!!

I don’t feel the urge to train with so many changes upcoming.

If anything, I will just be at my arcade with the old version until UAS is released. The guy there is pretty good about software updates, so it probably won’t be hard for him.

Time spent on the JP version is not wasted. TvC:UAS is not a new game. Yes, the changes are vast, but the engine is the same, and learning to input and react is still extremely helpful. I will continue to compete in the JP version until UAS hits.

Now this is a great post and I never thought you would say such a great thing for the new blood comming and those of us that have been here for some time.

I will not drop CGOH until I have UAS in my Wii. It should be eaiser to get people into it with the new version comming out so soon. CGOH is still the best fighter out now, and will continue to be until UAS comes out.

Something will be horribly wrong if CGH remains the tournament standard.

japanese talk show thing dealing with TvC. We don’t learn any new stuff by the looks of things.

eurogamer expo gameplay with people trying to play it like it’s Street Fighter. Tekkaman Blade stuff and a Karas who has no idea what he’s supposed to be doing.

Tekkaman blade uses some mysterious command grab style dash move.

1:00minute mark for WTFLOL? moment. lol. interrsting to see how not to play blade. one will have to play poetically with him when u think about the official trailer and compare it to this.

Tekkaman blade is too illllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll. also - didn’t know u could do that level 1 anywhere, i thought he had to be in the air liek ken’s, but it seems to be able to start off of anywhere then cinematically makes it in the air.

Seems to just be the projectile that he rips out of you on hit used at close range. :expressionless:

but he doesn’t throw the projectile at all. He just dashes. Maybe a point blank hit

Well, we might not see UAS in Japan tourneys if they don’t update the arcades. :frowning:

EDIT: Japanese cover? http://gmstar.com/wii/tatsunokovsua.html

They just slapped all the character art together for that one. It still looks pretty good.

It still means Ai has a chance D:

EDIT: That tekka-dash-throw seems like your typical command move that has a special effect.

Blades B and C projectiles trigger a grab animation, but they are blockable. They work on giants ><

At least he can’t combo after them, making them less threatening than Karas’s chain or Tekkaman’s lariat.

Dude someone needs to check out if ippatsumans 6C is still soooooooooo rape sauce!!! That move is by far the best in the game, no bullshit. I can not find something it does not beat out clean.

edit: some moves by the giants break it but most all supers don’t

Morrigan vs Frank. We see that Frank’s zombies can be hit back at him as projectiles too. Seems like they really are double edged swords.

More Frank West Zombie silliness

Tekkaman Blade doing horrible things to Saki and Chun Li. Why are those other players so bad? Here we see that Frank West’s camera flash stuns airborn opponents too

with every coming video, frank looks weaker and weaker.

who thought it was a good idea to design him like he is?

unless OTG (c version) zombie cart wallbounces from the floor, i can’t see him doing any real damage with basic combos let alone more elaborate setups

He’s straight up and down ass. Give me back Daimao.

The one thing that could help Frank is air summons and just faster summons. The way he was designed it was like giving him a dull knife and trying to make him cut metal. Just not smart.

I think you guys are being pretty hasty. Just because nobody knows how to play him properly yet, doesn’t mean he’s terrible.

The zombies he can summon look more and more like a liability and less of a pressure tactic. You’ll probably only see the zombie that he summons behind someone.

Actually, I thought they function decently (instead of dying out after summoning, they’d shamble). It’s just that the gamespot players were horrible.
