I pretty much lived at the TvC setup this weekend, and while I didn’t play him myself, I did batter him a few times; so I’ll add a couple things.
This seems annoying as hell at first, but it is interruptable after he crosses you up, so it’s rather gimmicky.
Big and teef. Combos to pinball super with ludicrous ease.
It starts out looking like Ken’s super, then when it hits it goes into an autocombo where he pinballs you about in the air. This super is stupid fast, combos from everything and looks proper sick.
Damage is nothing to write home about.
I’m not very familiar with the game, so I don’t know about alot of gameplay changes, but after flicking through the threads on soki, I find no mention of being able to link into A, B, Launcher after dp+A. Is this new?
I added something I noticed from a random Viewtiful joe video. His mashy Air joe attack now drags the opponent down rather then sending them upwards with each hit. honestly even though this move prorates a lot in most combos that’s still a pretty decent buff!
judging from the frank west video with seth, it seems the amount of meter that builds is the same as evo. so if im up 2 bars, you should have 1.5. this is looking to be one of the best vs series created so far. i cant lie, i mean i love my marvel characters though, but all the shit gameplay wise this game has, its just looking too fucking good right now. i will be playing the u.s version for a minute it looks like. fuck sf4. well, unless they do they upgrade that everyone is talking about, and add those characters that were mentioned in that thread that mysteriously disappeared. to good! fuck work. games!
at first i was really disappointed in the new character list but judging by these videos these guys are going to be awesome. frank west, who’s game i’ve never bothered playing, seems to be an awesome spammer/grappler hybrid. that is going to be so fun. i really hope the other three characters seem just as creative and fun as the two we’ve seen so far.
(re-posting my own shit that got buried in the TGS trailer thread)
Tokyo Game Show is a decidedly Japan-centric expo, and that trailer has all sorts of moon writing in it. I assume that Japan is also getting UAS then. To them I guess it would just be a re-release/upgrade version or whatever.
It looks to be console-exclusive. There probably would have been some mention if they were planning to put UAS in arcades too, so I suppose CGH remains the arcade standard; it seems like a bit of a shame that TvC doesn’t get a second chance at seeing success in arcades there.
from that first video, we learn that Frank’s flash assist has a lot of range. It’s more like an instant projectile. Wow, he’s definately looking like he’ll be a good teammate for Doronjo.
