ugh, i do not care about his personality. i cant imagine a robot with the mind of an 11 year old ever appealing to me. ever. i never played old school megaman for megaman’s personality. his character design and greatness spoke for himself without him having a personality. shoot me in the face the day i care about megamans personality in anything. dante is different because he is who you want to be for eternity. lol!
well in all honesty, this thread would be dead until tokyo game show. there is literally nothing to talk about with the u.s release until then, or until we get more videos or interviews, which have not shown up, and the ones we do have aint really bout shit, and dont show any new characters. so friendly speculation on what the game should be, and or what it should be in the future is more mind tingling then repeating page 1-6 all over again.

and in a way, more gdlk, since he uses no weapons (besides his body), no projectiles, and prolly over a hundred special moves. lol. imagine him linking special move to special move! awesomeness.

meh, I guess I’m being a party pooper. Gene all the way. I would be happy with him and Dante. As for Megaman Volnutt, I guess I don’t mind him but I would have preferred X or one of the Megamans with a more modern stylish design.

You’re right in a way, but this is the more active thread and we don’t really have shit else to talk about right now anyways. I still want wiseduck from tech romancer to make a showing. Also, dante seems like kind of a lame choice to me personally, but I do think he’d fit the game well and also make it sell a ton more in the states, so, he’s got my vote. Only one of them could make it tho since RE is pretty much confirmed for one of the capcom slots.
DMC has always been one of my favourite franchises, so I’m all for Dante, even though I suspect it won’t happen. I don’t want to see him with multiple styles though. That’d just be pointless to give him more moves than everyone else. I think he should have a set of popular and trademark moves, obviously with his launcher being high time and his projectile being a short burst of E&I fire in which he may walk slowly back and forth while firing. j.C could be his helm splitter and have the unique property of acellerating his downwards velocity like it does in the DMC games and so on so forth.

All these PTX buffs but not a single viable Gold Lightan buff. Who cares if his stomp smacks the whole floor? If I have time to stomp the floor I have time to land Gold Crush. If there isn’t a single way to play the mixup game then he is worthless in tourneys.

I just thought of something: Gene can’t block in God Hand… He can only dodge, weave, and backflip. However, if he does make it into the game, he won’t be given such a handicap as not being able to guard against attacks. 
or maybe he will be given awesome dodging skills (i didnt want to say parry lol), teleports and stuff.

Let us all just take a moment to hate capcom for killing a great character they just gave fresh life to: Yes that is right I am still mad about batsu, FUCK MAN, WHY YOU DID US LIKE THAT CAPCOM? I really think he was going to be one of those characters that as the game evolves so does he. I.e. Casshern. If you bbq that fireball on a normal jump or double jump exchange you get stupid shit with an assist like Ken the Eagle, or advanced re-jump to super jump combos with Casshern, Polymar, and just superjump combos off megaman.
Still Batsu’s lvl3 was way to good with Casshern and his assist was also good for Casshern, not for the re-jump to super jump Casshern combos but you could get another stand up off of Casshern’s j.236 a,b, and that is always really good. Still you have to stress crazy shit like 6C as a tardy counter into 236c itno 214 two attacks.
Casshern is really his best partner as he is a really good partner for Casshern, and they have great dhc from: Casshern’s 236 two attacks to Batsu’s 623 two attacks back to Casshern for the 623 two attacks. Batsu aerial rave ending in 236 two attacks super dhc’s into Casshern’s 623 two attacks super and allows for you to setup the C attack friender into unblockable punch. Bastu can setup Casshern’s lvl3 with 7 hits scaled which is not bad at all for that lvl3. He can do it in less if he gets a tardy counter.
Casshern can cover his tardy counter and in most cases you get bbq from doing the tardy counter so you can bbq the tardy counter and go for the overhead from 6b or an IAD overhead.
Batsu has an ok runaway game but his dive kick shoud be used more like Casshern’s for bbq pressure. You can do stuff like jump back, then air dash, dive kick using b bbq on contact with your opponet or if you are tricky and cool and shit you can bbq before you get to them and use your second jump call Casshern and air dash twards or away from them. If you hit with the dive kick you can do B fireball and bbq that for really good shit if your opions are open like they should be.
I could go on more but the high is wearing off and when I read it back over it seems like I was high when I wrote it so time to stop.

It’d be cool if Gene ducked and weaved to dodge attacks when he’s ‘blocking’, but just as an aesthetic since he’d stay in ‘blockstun’ and still get chip damage just like everyone else.
And yeah, I’m also worried about Lightan. Even if they give him a low I still can’t see it helping much since his overheads are so slow.
