Sadness. I really like watching good PTX players win in those matchups, just because of how hard it is, and how much composure and good judgment you have to have to play PTX. It’s sad when he works so hard to keep his slow ass pressure on and then saki wins by hitting him with her retarded unblockable or command throw and then tagging some extra bullshit damage on it. LOL!!! thats exactly what i want. only dante is karas speed when he is about to die in devil trigger mode. he can have, um, karas health points, since potentially he would be the greatest. so let me make this more legible.

they should make it that if your execution isn’t top notch, the best you could play is a mid tier dante. with the changes to the meter building system when getting hit and attacking, mega crashing, baroque damage, etc… i think although on paper my dante sounds like he rapes for free, it could still be some good shit. the only thing is, we all know, its dante, there will be everyone picking dante, and whoever. it could be dante and a terd, and dante will be getting rocked. he’s to popular. but i think chris could get mega play time also, and get daimo out and get in some recognizable peeps on the tastunoko side and its a wrap.
i think ill stop. i have amped myself up to far. im going to be thoroughly upset once tokyo game show comes and they show 4 bitch ass characters. ha. maybe its wrong to fiend for more, but the roster isn’t that large to begin with, and no one plays alex or daimo, a handful still play saki, and the others are randomly mixed about and i just dont find batsu or ippatsu that entertaining. so potentially 5 characters are just whatever, besides giants, but they suck by default. i would say daimo and ippatsu can def go. they wont be missed.
capcom should keep ryu, chun, saki, joe, batsu, alex. scrap morrigan. she just gets to much shine. demitri can take her place, the wolf dude, or better yet PUT IN THE DUDE WITH THE BIG SWORD WITH THE LITTLE GIRL, that would be the shit. scrap rockman for megaman. i want da megaman i know. i aint play them rock games. give me megaman, megaman x, and or zero too.

Well everybody’s staying in except Daimao as far as we know. I agree on the darkstalkers shit tho. I’d way rather see a bunch of characters from that rather than morrigan. She’s cool and all, but my favorite was always Lei Lei (Hsien Ko), but Anakaris would be sweet too, he’s the only character that gets me hype for marvel, he was so sick in that game. And yeah Donovan seems like he’d be hype.

capcom, im telling you. i know we got the heads up on a resident evil character coming, but yo, one of your biggest franchises of the 21st century is devil may cry. you would be doing an injustice to yourselves bank wise if you didnt include dante, nero, or vergil. although i might consider the clown guy if he is bad ass. lets be realistic here. i know games are poppin off right now, and they have before, but lets not think that if tvc version 2 dont pop off, we going to be in another major hiatus for another vs game. mvc3, maybe, but tvc is not mvc anyways. tvc could easily be the new marvel, but you just gotta go hard baby.
capcom, a winning team roster for the next tvc would be dante, ryu (but he can change into ken or akuma like in mvc1), chun li, MEGAMAN, hsien ko, zangief, wang tang, (ayame, gunrock, or jack), vergil, q bee. if you want money, if you want attention, if you want players. then you need to drop the dumb shit, and get with it for real. i know you made tvc at first as a button masher, but lets get serious. drop alex, we want gief over alex. drop rock, we want megaman. chun li and ryu are always welcome , but your money makers are gonna be people from the dmc, darkstalkers, and power stone games. people want to see that. fuck roll. how many more times do we have to see an incarnation of roll in a vs game. shes cool. no offense to roll players, but im sayin. saki and souki were cool and are, but there are more interesting characters. morrigan is worn out, and batsu is irrelevant. i would have rather had the high school teacher in tvc from rival schools.
i cant speak for tatsunoko to much other than the basics and karas. i say put in slim fast casshern next time. right now i feel this is what we should be getting, but ill deal with tvc for a good year again, only because i get a couple new characters and game balance, but really, you need to be in the works for tvc2 during that. although there are changes in the game, overall im still playing the same cast plus 4, and unless those 4 are significant, after a year ill be over it. although mvc2 has its tiers, its such a legend because it was the first game to go fucking hard as shit and drop over 50 characters on you. there are other names i could drop that are major, but i feel like for the japanese players and american players, if you drop those names in tvc2, its over, you gettin dough. hell, ill make sure you get dough. how bout that.
that would be awesome if there was some kind of petition instead of this being a big surprise, because if there’s no samurai pizza cats, re, ds, or dmc characters, it’s likely to be dissapointing (even though some random character I never heard of might be cool, like how I never had any interest in onimusha hack n slashing games, but I’m pretty interested in Soki).
Also - capcom needs to see jimmy’s posts, if not all of ours. wouldn’t capcom unity have a higher chance of being seen by someone who works for capcom then srk? has anybody relayed any of this there?

yup, dante, zero, and leon are way more interesting. id say batsu was interesting at first, but as the game developed he wasnt as intersting anymore to me. saki, well, ill be honest. i had no idea where she came from. lol. i knew who souki was. i mean, i give them props, but i think overall there are way more interesting characters, that have a bigger background that capcom can use to attract old schoolers and new schoolers. i mean, if saki and souki had to stay in, ill give them that, but i still want moar! lol. morrigan is not bad, more so that she gets to much shine out of the darkstalker cast.
yeah, if any gaming company wanted to really do a game justice, and do what the players wanted. before they get started on the game, make polls for who you would want to see. thats it. it will guarantee that your gonna get the most out of the game, because people are gonna tell you what they want. i dont know why thats so hard, but whatever. i understand the element of surprise, and you want to be like, bam, look what we been working on, but at the end of the day, whats better, a big dumb surprise, or me telling you what the hell i want, and me being satisfied when the day comes that i can open my present. surprises are for children damnit! ha ha

It was pretty obvious that this game was intended for Japan only, based on the character choices alone. Theyre throwing this game out in the states now so they gotta give us characters we know. I had no idea who Batsu, Saki, Souki, or 75% of tatsunoko were.

Tatsunoko is fine as it is imo. Whatever they throw in there has to be flashy for the attention though.
Morrigan is welcome in any game imo. Batsu is meh because he plays like a bad shoto with some combo differences and an infinite (which he is losing, and i play batsu so don’t tell me i dont know what im saying)
I like both Alex and Gief, and Alex is fun as hell in TvC if youre not playing against Karas.

I’m just throwing it out there, by MvC 1 Strider was just some random old school Capcom character no one had seen in almost 10 years. Suddenly he’s one of the most popular again.
Having random unknowns in versus games is fine with me, beats seeing the same played out characters over and over again.

i would bet everyone knew who the whole entire capcom cast was, short of saki. i even knew who souki was. you had no idea who batsu was? did you just pick up a controller. lol. i had no idea about tatsu either short of karas. i googled most of that cast, and even downloaded the new casshern anime which was pretty cool.

word. i like chun li in this because of how much creativity they gave for her combo ability, and ryu is always welcome to pull out something new. volnutt was a new way to go, and the moves they gave him were def a nice look, although og megaman is still god tier. capcom made a ton of killer games. its hard for them to put out to many unknowns without going extremely deep to the pockets to which no one cares, and for tatsunoko, besides a handful of u.s players, im sure the japanese are pretty well versed in their characters like how we are with capcom characters. but i feel you, it would be nice to bring in zero( or boss enemies) over megaman, barry over jill, necro over alex, etc…

Last I remember we did, or just barely beneath them at least. Also, I completely disagree with your opinion on Volnutt. Everyone I know at the Megaman community was overjoyed to see him in the game, and from my experience the only ones that complain are the ones outside of it =/

ugh, i guess we did, but its all good. considering certain things i see that. well i guess we will just have a nostalgic difference in opinion. i been playing megaman since megaman 1, which is about a decade before the volnutt heresy. you didnt own a console before the n64 and playstation era, so im judging you to be 18-21, and when i was cranking out megaman in elementary school you were, well, not. but no hate. i guess you gotta accept that there are people who enjoy a certain version of a character over another. well unless you were playing on someone elses console, but if you played og megaman for almost a decade, regardless of any megaman community or not, you would stick wit og megaman regardless.

And well, my mention of the MM community was just to state how most if not every MM fan I know was happy to see Volnutt in the game, and these are also guys that grew up on the NES MM like us both.
Yeah I’m gonna have to say that I don’t like the visual design of Volnutt anywhere close to as much as og megaman or X or anything, but his playstyle in TvC was so awesome that it didn’t matter. He was waaaay more fun to play than megaman ever was in Marvel. He was just so quick and flexible that I couldn’t help but like him regardless of how I would have liked to see an OG megaman (who knows how that would look in 2.5d anyways?)

ITT a person hasn’t played Legends and now bashes Volnutt because of it.
He has much more personality than any of the Megas (and those that have are generic shonen trite - I AM LOOKING AT YOU, EXE AND STARFORCE), he has a well-developed character, and he actually participates in a lot of the things given to him.
