Im not exactly sure what you’re getting blasted by but your goal should be to make them scared of going into RLX ans HSP. If you can float them for trying it almost every time they will stop and start trying to poke (at least a smart one will)
I’d have to mess around in practice for a bit to see what your characters can float/punish with but yeah…
Make sure you know Chreddy’s/Tiger’s Negativa, along with their transitions - this will REALLY shut down their options…
and even cripple their game plans altogether (this goes
according to Chreddy/Tiger players who really know what they are doing). However, against a masher they are likely to
start the match off with… their b+3,3 which is a mid hitting move.
If you see this coming, be prepared to block and KBD away from them. You can stop a lot of their low stances/
Negativa by jumping. Keep your distance. Try to utilize
mid/low hitting pokes if your character has them. Make sure you use you low/mid crushes too…
Whiff punishing and keeping your distance will work in this scenario.

Watch this video just to see what I mean…
This is a match from a few months ago - this is not the best example but just this should give an idea of what to do
(this WAS a frustrating match but I still made it… I used that stupid ass hop kick to solve a lot my problems
in this match up but this seriously could have been handled a lot better).
Dont back dash after blocking a b+3,3… float it. This is where you are really going to shut them down. In the video he posted there were some b+3,3s that he didn’t combo off of. When I say float it I mean to punish it with something that will pick them up. AND YES it’s a 100% punish that floats. They can’t do anything at all to just eat a bit of ground damage or anything like that. FOR EXAMPLE.
If I’m Jaycee and Chreddy does b+3,3. I get a ff+1 into a combo.
ff+1 d,d/f+1,4,1 d,d/f+1,4,1+2 B! or TA!
[S]Sorry if this has already been answered, but web searches for the words ‘tekken tag wii unknown’ mostly led to press releases and nothing relevant to my problem.[/S]
[S]Basically, my Wii-U copy of Tekken Tag 2 just showed up (one hell of a gaffe by the shipping carrier!) and noticed what appears to be an odd problem; only most of the ‘DLC’ characters are now enabled. Everyone but Unknown shows up. I find this odd, since my Xbox 360 copy does have Unknown. Does anyone know why this happens, and if there’s a fix for it?[/S]
Edit: I’m stupid. Forgot you have to go through Arcade Mode once to unlock Unknown. All good! Leaving this post up in case anyone else is confused on the matter, though.[S][/S]
Alright frame data monsters in here who write info down in notebooks, I have a quick question. How do you start when writing in info for a notebook for characters, do you write all of their frame data, all of their strings, moves to watch out for, common setups, punishes, stances, etc.etc?
 I just started mine two months ago so I don’t have too much info in it.
When starting, however, I just find a blank page, put a character’s name at the top and then start writing things I see that are important. Since the amount of info is so small, it can be “unorganized” like this and still be fine and having a page for each character while not organizing those pages by character actually helps a little bit because mostly the overplayed characters will be in the front. When the notebook fleshes out, though, I plan to reorganize it much more effectively.
As for what’s in there, I just watch what players of those characters like to do, what they are successful with and what they get hit with a lot. Do they have a WR move that’s super safe and nets a combo on hit? Can that move be stepped or crushed? If it doesn’t combo, does it lead to an oki setup? What are the character’s most used throws and where on stage do those throws play a factor? If a player is getting hit, is it because they’re getting caught with a homing move while stepping? Are they winding up for something and getting counterhit? Maybe they’ve fallen into a predictable pattern and are getting punished for it…all these are things I try to notice in order to increase my awareness and obviously to fill the book with sweet info.
You don’t do characters in order cause I was planning to do that and try to dedicate 3-5 page per character on info unless they are a clone or something like that like Capos, Bob’s, Xiayou/Miharu, Jun/Unknown, Lee/Violet, Lili/Sebastian, then I’ll put their differences in them?
This has finally decided to get me off my butt to finally start typing up move lists that lead to certain conditions. Like, does it force the blocker to crouch, sidestep a certain way (like Xiaoyu’s RD going to the right), go into certain stances (Koreans, Capos), etc. The stance transition one is the one that gets me with Capos.
For frame data, I might just write down things that are launcher punishable and figure things out as time goes on.
JFJ did this and he has a couple pages per character. Right now I would just sort things out by character. For clone characters have a section for differences.
In the beginning you won’t have a lot of data but later on I would suggest organizing things.
Well, very depressing session. I’m starting to think I will avoid lobbys unless it’s with friends. Whenever you win against someone, especially with a better rank (as I don’t really play ranked, mine stays very low), it’s either the ending of the session, a disconnect at the end of the match, very “friendly” messages (Spamming noob etc), or all three if I’m unlucky.
Quick matches will be the way to go if no friends online.
If anyone can help with some constructing sessions, add me.

Hey there i have a question about your records in online?
can you delete them because mine are really bad and I want to practice more before going back. I’m 4-42 in ranked and I really suck in the game obviously -_-
