Translated AE2012 Blanka changes

eventhubs says it causes knockdown. I am very much for this type of change. Top players can punish a blocked ex upball anyway so i don’t care that it’s easier to punish now. I’m just curious what the timing is and how much time i get after his knockdown to setup my yomi.

the official translation says this

Blanka
[EX Vertical Roll]: Now causes knockdown on hit. However on block, Blanka will now land even closer to the opponent so the risk is greater.

@Foxisquick if it is similar to a knockdown causes by an AA upball it’ll be around 40ish frames of knockdown time. AA upball knocks down like 43 frames.

Finally!

Ex upball knockdown ? SWEET! If it’s true of course.

So i mean this is a really good thing guys. It means we have more changes to look for. Possibly even some frame adjustments. PLEASE FOR GODS SAKE PLEASE GIVE ME BETTER FRAMES ON C.HP PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ.

Oh and make C.MK s.LP xx electricity work on everyone PLEASE FOR GODS SAKE.

I think we need to open a champagne… as for blocked ex ball getting punished harder… er… WHATEVER!!! now we can finally fucking get out of the corner…

so now we gotta just wait for invincibility for ex electricity and we can make blanka god mode

lol

I prefer if Close MP s. LP xx Elec work on eveyone.

you know seriously close MP s.LP xx elec just get used to it and remember which character it works for and which you need ex… also not to mention sometimes if your jumping attack doesn’t hit deep enough the combo doesn’t work…

-LAU

if combos into ex upball put blanka into a good position to setup offense I’m going to be soooooo happy.

Fox is probably talking about on non jumpins.

hey guys you are being robbed, but i cant deny i love it /jk

you know… this ex upball knockdown on hit…

is definitely gonna push blanka up the tier bracket… there’s no more bs OS that kills all blanka option especially when he’s corner… the choice is clear… you either let blanka run away or hit you with ex rainbow… OR… you try to stop ex rainbow and get hit by ex upball… there’s no bullshit where it covers ALL Blanka’s option but block…

i’m sooooo hyped for ae 2012…

you have no idea… lol… you think we got robbed? lolololol

Because Chun will punish in AE 2012 on block, this is that ?

Seriously like LAU-HK said, i prefer so much this version of EX Upball, more logical and thought better!

And yes Lau i know this combo works on a lot of characters, i use it a lot but if he will work on everyone, it will became the first bnb of the character Imo.

compared to whats is getting gouken yes you are being robbed, but hey is a knockdown on hit.

and yes punish on block makes my day

As a Blanka player, i can tell you it’s a BIG buff for Blanka and his poor reversal game, i don’t care if Gouken can punish on block, you know so much characters can already now punish on block this Ex upball… i really don’t care, it’s good for me.

I don’t watched what Gouken received.

dont you worry ill help you with that

Chun can already punish ex upball on block @_@

good news are good

Perhaps Malvadisco means that they shouldn’t have nerfed the bounce distance on block at all? well, i think that anyways

what yoga flash said

let me explain to you a bit… and you can think about it.

the move is 4 frames… auto correct sides… lots of invincibility frame… on whiff some character might not be able to punish it in time because we’re on the other side of the screen… the problem with this move BEFORE was even on hit… we can get killed… especially in the corner… any good Blanka players rarely abuses ex upball because their opponent ends up hitting them much harder than Blanka hits them initially unless they are airborne…

ex upball getting blocked will only occur during an empty jump setup or extremely rare safe jump setups… but the problem before was… after that setup… blanka opts for their OTHER less used reversal which is ex rainbow… but problem is before people can do a safe jump into a OS to get rid of both options… even if blanka hits them with the ex upball… the opponent will just hit them back equally or even harder… and if they try to ex rainbow away they’ll get hit as well… so blanka is kinda FORCED to block… and when blanka is pushed into the corner he doesn’t really have any options other than blocking… and ultra… which is pretty ridiculous…

this upgrade means the opponent have to decide to either beat the ex rainbow… or ex upball… they can’t just do something that beats both options…
