Krok is pretty cool looking. It just oozes the nostalgia feels from the Actionmaster. Quake’s head mold is pretty solid, but it’s gonna be vastly different from it’s G1 counterpart.
That’s quite a step up from his old-school Jumpstarter figure.

The entire Titans Return line is so good. Easily the best toy line in a long time.
Very true. Despite simplistic, this era has the same love as Generations did back in the earlier days.
So no one is gonna talk about that “new” MP Primal (MP-38 Legendary Commander Optimus Primal)
So which one of you asked for this LOL
This is what I would have expected Hasbro to do for a US release. The strange thing is the new number. The other repaints of the same character have an ID added to the number. It’s got a few new accessories, but less paint apps. Pricing is the same (if not a couple bucks higher) than the current release.
This is a pass if I say so myself. If they are doing this, then that means Tigatron (whenever it happens) will be released in the prototype orange color as well.
What’s with the scary face mask thingy?
Also what’s the deal with this recolor? What are they trying to homage?
Basically toy colors. The mutant mask is a feature of most early BW toys. Some characters in the show are known for thier mutant heads (Waspinator and Tarantulas).
This has all the reference you will need for this homage.

The new MP fails because there is no texture to the figure. If they molded fur, then it may have warranted a second release. The paint job just comes off as lazy.
RIP** Dick Gautier ** (Hymie on Get smart, G1 Rodimus Prime and Serpentor (GIJOE ARAH) )
He also voiced G1 Apeface, and the Targetmaster Firebolt (who was Hot Rod’s TM interestingly enough)
Transformers meets high fashion?
Moschino fashions made clothing incorporating G1 TF boxart.

This is how you ruin childhoods LOL
So what do you guys think about the Titans Return line overall?
For the longest time, i’ve stayed away from anything that’s not G1, masterpeice or that rare 3rd party figure that looked really good (space saving and cost reasons). However, after eyeing these guys long enough and loving the mainline return of headmasters, i finally caved and got some.
Not going to go nuts though. Mainly i wanted to pick up the O.G Headmasters crew: Hardhead, Chromedome, Brainstorm, Highbrow, Mindwipe, Weirdwolf, Skullcruncher.
Only opened up Skullcruncher so far and, for the price, i’m impressed. He’s a pretty neat classics/generations update of the character.
I also would like to pick up Crashbash and Clobber, as their little Dino modes are neat and the most creative of the headmaster mini-vehicals. Plus the clobber headmaster is so obviously a G1 Grimlock head.
^^ Awww crap. I’ve always loved Rodimus Prime and his season 3 VA!!
Judd Nelson was awesome in the movie as HotRod but, in his brief time as Rodimus at the end of the movie? He never felt like Rodimus. I don’t think he even tried to alter his voice to match the transformation. We were still just listening to young Hot Rod talk.
While Dick Gautier’s Season 3 portrayal however, really brought over that “maturity” and leadership quality that the character needed.
Till all are one!
Those are the same that I own. I love them. They are practically the G1 version of the character with modern poseability.
I own Crashbash. It’s a neat little figure.
Wow. Did you know they made a 3rd repaint? Called overboard. I didn’t even know till i spotted him at a target today. Having all three of the lil’dino headmasters together kinda reminds me of the G1 Firecons.
The dino mode colorscheme is also a homage of G1 Overkill (nice!). All 3 dinos shown together at 6:11:
