Are any of you guys a part of any TF Community on Facebook? After going to that Convention back in 2013, I was invited to quite a few of them. To be honest, this has been the best way to both sell off and pick up figures along with a fairly decent discussion group.

Notice how each is a voyager and a legend. Silverbolt and Powerglide, Motormaster/Blackjack, and Hot Spot and groove?
Groove may be form a chest plate or gun and āRookā may be his substitute for the lower leg of Defensor.

As a resident Skywarp hoarder, It is bought on sight. Rodimus can go kick rocks as that character deserves better than that. To be honest, itās really sad how HasTakTomy has done a really great job doing the classics line (including some of the repaint/ retooled figures e.g Megatron/ Dreadwing, Armada SS/ Jhiaxus, Blitzwing/ Doubledealer). However, from what I am hearing about the combiner wars line isnāt really shaping up to what I thought it was going to be. Rodimus a repaint of Blackjack and apparently the is an Ultra Magnus coming, which from the art looks to be a recolored Prime. Slingshot is going to be released, but heās nothing more than a repaint of CW Firefly. Rodimus pretty much is the same thing that happened to Optimus. Instead of creating another character, lets just repurpose a figure with an alt mode that is close enough. The previous Generations repaints worked fairly well. These are done to characters that have a somewhat more specific design aesthetic. The only sad thing about that Legends Seeker mold is that itāll be the only IDW representation of the figure (I am not counting Leader Class Thundercracker in that. I hate the way they used that mold for that character also).
So got the combiners today. Silverbolt is the truth. Optimus. . . . . . yeah, I hate it. It feels like a cosplay for Optimus. This would be like dressing The Hulk in Captain Americas suit and passing it off as Cap. The robot mode is just meh at best. The combined mode is way too wide. This saddens me because we know Menasor is gonna be based off of this connector. Mine also had a ratchet joint off in the legs so that added insult to injury.

The ratchet to keep one leg is like off a tab or something. The figure has one leg slightly out, which is why a candle is needed to support it

Itās an OK bot on its own, but I hate the combiner mode. There are better Primes out there.
So I finally found out what the structural difference is between the KO Optimus and Official Version
Outside of paint (and I mean minor in rare cases), thatās really it.
Combiner Wars Devastator
Not bad, but far from perfect. Maketoys Giant is now the official version of the character
Maybe 'Im easy to please, but I like it a lot.
Keep in mind this is only 150 compared to 400 or more for Giant/Hercules. So concessions had to be made.
My only nitpicks
Mixmasters cab/dev left foot being too small.

I would have to definitely agree. I think that overall the best āCombinerā from the lot is Superion. The issue that I see with this figure outside of the combined mode is that Long Haul is rumored to be the largest figure. Saying that this is ābadā is just outright silly. Its a pretty good modernized interpretation of G1 figure with minimal parts forming. However, canāt argue that Giant beats this one in terms of accuracy to the original model.
Also, this is the representation of the Mixer they are going for in CW Devy
Yeah, itās not as good as it could have been but I still want a Devastator. Might end up getting it.
Since Devyās reveal i had the strange urge to watch some G2 commercials and saw this compilation of them all. Kids these days are spoiled with their figures having moveable heads and more than just an elbow/shoulder joint.
