McCarthy Shifts Transformers Into Gear for IDW’s “Drift: Empire of Stone”
Later this month, writer Shane McCarthy returns to the samurai Transformer he created in “Drift: Empire of Stone,” a four-issue mini-series from IDW Publishing with artist Guido Guidi. As a former Decepticon who found sanctuary with the Autobots, Drift is currently on a journey of self-discovery, attempting to discover his place in the Galaxy. Along with Autobot medic Ratchet, who is along for the ride to help clear Drift’s name from a wrongful accusation, Drift will go through what McCarthy describes as “buddy cop meets space adventure.”
The writer discussed re-visiting his samurai Transformer in the new IDW mini-series “Drift: Empire of Stone,” revealing why Drift finds himself without alliances yet again, his feelings on Michael Bay’s interpretation of the character in “Transformers: Age of Extinction” (and why it was “bordering on offensive”) and more.

Looks great in the box. It looks exactly like the 2012 US TRU/Hasbro version with full English packaging in case anyone was wondering.
In person, it isn’t as bright blue as online vids make it look, but not as navy blue as the Takara version.
I actually preordered mine from tfsource…they’re taking forever to get them in. Only real advantage from them is free shipping. I’m glad I’m not too anxious to get him in my hands. How big is vector sigma?

Ehh. IMO I wouldnt buy it if it was for sale by itself. Its a cute little thing to toss in, but that is the most praise i can give it.
For fun, I took two crappy cell phone pics of the Vector Sigma accessory.
All it is the box, yellow disco ball, and the key (imo the cooler of the two pieces). It rolls very well, thats why i put that tin behind it lol. Sorry about the stethoscope/reflex in the background.

Speculation: 150 bucks for 6 voyager sized figures seeing as how 1 voyager is basically 25 now.
However TRU jacks up prices for MP and large items a lot, so another possibility I could see is 4 deluxes for limb, and Hook/ Long Haul being voyagers (around 110 at Walmart)
Also, whatever the specifics, they BETTER put the lime green/purple at retail easily. Not yank us around with day glo skittles Bruticus at retail and SDCC/platinum for the good colors.
