I got my Scoria in the mail yesterday (forgot to take pics of his robot mode lol)
This thing is basicly MP Slag (much like their Quakewave) in short.
I LOVE how he looks in Triceratops mode, all the gold chrome!
For anyone who wants their MP Dinobot fix I can recommend it!

You know how he is in Fall of Cybertron. Same olā stoic Spock-esque completely focused Shockwave.

I would love to see the Cybertronian Spock prove to be a mad Vulcan behind the veneer of his emotionless frame.
His explicitly stated first and ONLY loyalty is to Cybetron, and to bring it back.
Megatron is a stepping stone as far as Shockwave is concerned, and Megatron KNOWS how 'Wave thinks of him.
Youāre not far off, when it comes down to it.
Who kept Cybertron running as usual in the G1 cartoons when Megatron asked, and then promptly left to battle the Autobots?
Shockwave.
Itās pretty cool to think about just how much of his behavior is real, and how much is a near-perfect maskā¦ The best part? On some very rare occasions, he slips up, like with Grimlock, and with those audio logs I mentioned.
And then thereās the IDW runā¦

Itās Takaraās version of MP-08 (1st batch)
With a 2nd MP quality figure Fans Toys are making a name for themselves.
Soarās (not-Swoop) final prottype should be coming soonish, Iām really curious.
Am I the only person that bought a variant of the iGear Raptor figures. Sitting in my loot at BBTS but donāt see anything I want coming soon, so I think I am gonna pull the trigger in the next day or so. Seeing Toyworldās Swamper (not-Skullcruncher) in reviews hasnāt really made me āwant itā
So the local TF Convention in Charlotte (Charticon) has officially been retired after a successful first year. The kickstarter effort didnāt work well enough, so they are just doing away with it. That news came at the most inopportune time. This track just happened to be playing in the background when I read the news:

As much as I love the cartoon, Shockwave is at his best in Marvel Comics.
Slight counterpoint from me(though I donāt disagree!), heās done VERY well in the War for/Fall of Cybertron, where heās how he normally is and done right in that regard, but, not so stoic in that, believe it or not, which is how acting emotionless pans out in reality, and also, Transformers Prime where heās depicted with his traits and abilities as if they were extrapolated to their very strongest, and accurately at that; and also has a few moments where itās obvious heās not a stone wall(Predaking likes head rubs, apparently).
You are right, though, Marvel TF 'Wave is the magnum opus of him, as far as Iām concerned.
I should read that whole run. How long is it? Already doing IDW, one more wonāt hurt LOL
Marvel run was 80 issues for the G1 comic.
To be honest, Ive only really read the last 20 issues. Those were written by Simon Furman starting with the origin of the Tf , matrix quest, decepticon civila war (Scorponok vs Shockwave and Starscream), and the Unicron Battle /aftermath.
From the tfwiki the frist 20 or so issues seem interesting, then is hit or miss for a few years.
Primacy will conclude the Cybertronian War trilogy begun with Autocracy and Monstrosity and will be a "true war story".
Transformers: Punishment, a motion comic for the Madefire app, has Optimus hunting a killer after the Dark Cybertron event. The will be a print version.
There will always be two on-goings and a miniseries. After the upcoming Drift: Empire of Stone mini will be Windblade Returns by Scott and Stone.
More Spotlights are not planned. Nor are movie comics. A tie-in for the upcoming Robots in Disguise cartoon may be in the cards.
No plans for Simon Furman.When Mr. Furman is doing the writing, itās hard to truly fuck up TF writing. Just how it is by now lol
