I just got caught up with the TF Prime sneak clips, then read the reaction comments in this threadā¦ Iāll never understand modern TF fans. Good TF designs (although the humans look too much like Pixar rips), and actual animation unlike the Japanese cg TF shows. The real Cullen is Prime this time, instead of BWās Cullen impersonator. Welker is Megatron as well. Goddamn, I donāt see many negatives here.
It starts next week? Iāll give it a watch.
Even though right now I say ānoāā¦ eventually one will creep inside my collectionā¦
After all I have the other 3 Seeker MPās as wellā¦

Unfortunately I donāt understand how the first ep. is supposed to air in the US o_O

Transformers prime ep 1 -2 is outā¦ the Rock is cliffjumper. Line up so far:
Autobots - Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Ratchet and bulkhead.
Cons - Megs, Starscream, Soundwave and no name drones.
Its not too badā¦ megs and prime with their original voices = win!! Megatron is very menacing.
Unicron refferences as well!!!
Itās decent. Welkerās Megatron is very good, it doesnāt sound like crazy G1 megs at all (even though I miss that gravelly āmetallicā voice). If I had to complain, Iād say the kids are just annoying shits, and the backgrounds are almost static? And maybe the TFs are a little too serious-- the Autobots just seem lonely and stressed out.
Itās not bad, but not great either. Optimus just seems waaaaaaay too serious. Arcee is my favorite character so far.
Textures look much better than before, but I think that in terms of movement, Beast Wars/ Beast Machines seems to be animated a little better.
I do like this Megatronās voice. Itās like he has a motive this time. G1 Megs was just crazy as hell.

A friend hooked me up with the new Jazz and Tracks.
Jazz is quite nice. I was concerned that the head would be too small judging from the promotional pics, but this isnāt as much of a problem in person. There are two knocks on this figure, though. First, when you push the chest down for the head reveal, it doesnāt peg into place, so the chest is always moving up and down as youāre trying to pose it. Second, the rear half of the car lacks paint. You can either remedy this yourself or you can wait until the Japanese United version. Other than that, itās a very solid representation of Jazz.
Tracks is interesting. Not my favorite. Kind of reminds me of 2.0 Octane or Galvatron in that itās probably only going to appeal to certain people. There are some things that Iām not fond of. I donāt like the head and I feel that heās a bit too short. I donāt like his gun, either. It looks like itād be better suited as a shoulder-mounted rocket launcher for someone else. Thereās even a 3mm clip at the end of it to further justify this. Itās still a nice toy IMO.
yeah I should be getting tracks sometime this week, gotta hunt jazz though.
got thunderwing, skullgrin & cliffjumper generation figs last night from a local tfw member, theyāre all very nice.
oh also bought pcc destrons & protectobots last friday at target for $10 each. my first pccās so I didnāt care too much spending 20 on the pair and Iāve wanted the destrons since I saw early pics of them. the destron set is very nice for $10, the protectobots I didnāt care too much for. gonna find grimstone soon and I think Iāll be done with pccās then.
This is a semi-knock, but it wouldāve been nice if Jazzās doors could fold into the back. I know that a lot of people have a woody for cartoon accuracy, so theyāre going to be vehemently opposed to a Jazz with door wings. That way, everyone is happy.
Although it felt slow paced to me, I really enjoyed the new Prime show :tup:
I donāt get it on my cable, but from what I read I donāt feel like Iām missing out.
Anyone else snagging up any animateds on clearance? Iāve got almost an entire voyager collection now due to the dirt cheap clearance prices floating around 
I really didnāt like these guys at first but Iām really, really happy with the voyagers I have now.

I loved the original camera combiner toy.
Supposedly, the Reflector character will see an official release by Hasbro using the Generations Perceptor mold.

Picked up a battle blades Prime yesterday. What an awesome figure. It has everything, good detail, not too gimmick heavy, nice articulation, and all at a medium price point.
Seen all 5 episodes of transformers Prime and was surprised! I was expecting some lame, crappy, CGI filler toon to kill time until the next movie.
This was pretty decent/good overall. Iām not a fan of CGI toons but it seems the tech has advanced to the point where it looks nearly as good sometimes, and its hard not to forget its CGI.
Characters were neat for the most part. Didnāt like Primeās face and the way cullenās prime was always stuck in ādramatic/narratorā mode, ok otherwise. Megatron was gold! Voice was a good bit different but still the same, like another layer of the original. Kids were bearable also.
Pretty decent show and rockjumper died in the beginning of the first episode, so iām thankful for that. Especially after all his cocky dialog:
Rockjumper: āAnyone messes with me and they get da horns!ā (cue WWF rock theme)
Arcee: āYou need any backup?ā
Rockjumper: āHrmmm, do i ever? hyeahā¦ā (cue WWF rock theme).
Rockjumper then proceeded to get his ass beat up & killed midway through the first episode
what a week. got reissue predaking thursday, got him all stickered up friday, he looks so awesome.
one of the tfw local guys also snagged me a rts jazz and tracks. satomi you smokin something both those figs are fiyahhhhh.

Heās going to be re-molded into Wheeljack. Thatās why the clip is there. :lovin: And a few people have said the same thingā¦he would have looked sleeker if he had longer legsā¦but I think they did a fantastic jobā¦Regarding Jazz, they knew better than to not give Jazz something to clip his torso onto. Thatās an OBVIOUS mistake. Still, these guys are kick-ass G1 updates.
