have to admit, I was pretty tempted to snag it. but I’m kinda cutting back on tf’s for the time being and just kinda sticking to the reissues/big releases.
I didn’t see his bot form, but yeah, even the tank form looked solid. his price being 21.99 didn’t help though. fuck you target.
edit : bah, I went back there today to pick up some other shit and decided to scan bludgeon just to see what he rang up.
he came up normal price at 19.99, so I just said fuck it. all the vid reviews had been tempting me for the past couple months anyway.
don’t regret spending the $20 one bit. very solid figure, cool gimmicks, and very close to a G1 bludgeon. probably should have been in the universe classics line, aside from the “mech alive” gimmicks.
oh, target also has the 2 pack infiltration sets in stock now with bumblebee/soundwave, if anyone is looking for those. the set is $20.

That MP Grimlock is cool. The MP series is very cool, all around.
It’s somewhat too bad that I just don’t have the ambition to get them. I have no place to put them and my money would be better spent finishing what I have already started of vintage G1 stuff. I’m a total slacker when it comes to collecting them. I could have finished it years ago, but other expensive junk gets in the way. I remember when I started collecting them again. People were scanning their figures to post on eBay, because digital cameras were shit. I had a hard time finding a movie poster.
I plan on picking him up too. I heard the Recon Ironhide guns fit on him.
As for the TFW podcasts, I’ve only really sat it on one. I don’t normally listen to podcasts, but for the sake of providing you with a real answer, I’ll see if I can check out a few more.
I picked up a Crossover Captain America last week. Would be fantastic if the arms weren’t so flappy and loose. I dunno if that’s a production error on mine or not. If Meijer still has them on clearance, I might pick up an Iron Man.
Got the extra Walmart Skywarp from Optimus (thank you!) to round out the “current” Seeker collection. Can’t decide which looks better as a jet and which looks better as a robot. Oh happy problems…
Ghostscream looks a lot worse than I thought he would. This may be an easy one to pass up. Sunstorm on the other hand would probably look excellent.
Happily pre-ordered this. Only games I actually put a pre-order down for a Super SF4, Tranformers WFC, and DDR Vol 1 for PS3. This is gonna be a great year

It really is an awesome repaint. I almost bought it in weakness too, but this time around did not.
I’m still collecting and in the hobby right now, but honestly a little burned out. Too close to some of the behind the scenes stuff in some ways and the new toys aren’t really lighting my fuse otherwise.
(I do hope that the developers send me another free TF game to review when WFC comes out. Talk about one abuse of power I’m giddy to indulge in.)
