You’re right. I was pricing parts @ Wheeljack’s Lab and it would cost me $171.00 for all the parts I need. That’s crazy.
Reminds me of car maintenance/repair, when it’s more economical to just buy a new car rather than try to get replacement parts.
Animated Arcee’s toy makes me feel like a stud.
lol
Wheeljack’s Lab is apparently shitty. Typical complaints include items not matching listing descriptions, horrible packaging, and late shipping. He gets really nasty when you call him out on it as well. I’ve dealt with him once a few years ago. Things went smoothly, but when you have dozens of customers making the same complaints…
Duly noted. Thanks. I’ll search some other methods.
And yeah, it would be cheaper to just buy a new one but I’m trying to restore my wifes TF’s instead of replacing them entirely. That way there’s more sentimental value.
Got a buyer for my extra MP Skywarp. Unless someone wants me to make a WM run, it’s gonna sit there.
BTW
Classics Powerglide, Hard Head, Silverbolt, and Onslaught are $11.00 at my WalMart as well. Last time I checked, it was at least 1 of each
Anyone want me to grab those, let me know.
smb, how is the motor on your OG OS?
I’ve heard that many of the original ones were bad/defective from the get-go.
the encore one does work really nicely too, so I mean buying the encore is a definite plus if the OG motor dies…you could probably case swap the new electronics into the old toy mold if needed.

frenzy_rumble went ahead and repainted 2 of them into, well, .
I didn’t even think about checking until you mentioned it. Engine doesn’t work, there was a small bit of dry acid left on one of the contacts but it didn’t respond after I cleaned it. And thanks for the idea on the case swap, never thought about that possibility.
On a strange note: I have some really useless but curious information to post:
I just bought the season 2 box set of TFG1S2, I’m watching episode: Search for Alpha-Trion. The three Autobot females featured (Moonracer, Elita-1 and Firestar) each have the same primary and secondary colors as Blurr, Kup and Hotrod. And they have the same personality types: Moonstone is quick, Elita-1 is a smart thinker/commander type, and Firestar is a punk.
I wonder if there’s a connection? Not between the characters themselves but maybe the design?
Alright, I’m done. Just ignore my random nerdiness.
Wheeljack’s lab is fine…as long as it’s fine.
When it’s not fine…it’s really bad.
The guy HAS to be an anti-social shut in. He collects and resells other people’s toy garbage. Eh, buy from him when necessary, but avoid if possible. eBay seller ‘Dit’ is much better.
There are some cool Toyfair videos on TFW2005’s frontpage.
Probably, but at least he’s selling the kind of toy garbage that’s in high demand. I was browsing eBay last night for Omega Supreme parts and found two auctions of his that has pretty much every piece I need for $41.99 + S/H. That’s way better than the $171.00 I calculated by his individual prices.
Saw the vids. Pretty cool stuff on the power core line. I kinda thought they were a little bigger than that. Oh well. Not really anything that just jumps out and bites me, other than MP Grimlock. I guess he’s gonna be at a $60 price point. I think TRU is gonna do a better job at placement and numbers of that exclusive than WM did.
Really? I think MP Grimlock is going to be difficult to locate. Exclusive or not, TRU isn’t going to order the quantity like Wal-Mart would, especially since TRU shut down many of their stores a few years back. I’ve always had difficulty finding exclusive products in their stores because of scalpers and general demand by other collectors.
I thought I read somewhere that TRU now offers pre-orders and/or lay-away? Is this correct?
Hmm…preorders on toys…
What? I don’t know if TRU offers pre-orders!
All I’m saying is that it would be awesome to have in-store preorders.
new av to match new forum skin day :3
If they do, I’m going to pre-order Grims as soon as I can. He can be shipped to me while I’m away.
I went to the store today, and lo and behold, next deluxes.
Hey, people! I’ve been collecting Legends Class TF movie figures for the past few years and decided to post a bit about my experiences. Yeah, I know it’s not all that impressive, but I think they’re pretty neat and some of them are pretty well-made, despite their sizes. Besides, despite the occasional Deluxe or Voyager, that’s all I can really afford. I’ve got most of the figures for both movies, save for a few which were no longer available where I live.
The most illusive of all is Legends Class Barricade, which seems to be IMPOSSIBLE to come across! Even if I see one for sale online, it costs ridiculous amounts of money, even for a Legends figure! To get most of them, I picked up the Allspark Battles two-packs, which means I have to settle for that purple Recon Barricade to fill the gap of the missing original! Of all the Legends figures, I’m mostly pleased with ROTF Optimus Prime because it’s such a huge improvement over the previous movie Legends OP.
Earlier today, I went to my local Walmart to see if they had ROTF Voyager Megatron in stock, since my Voyager OP is looking lonely without Megs to face off against him. They didn’t have Megs, but I freaked when I saw what was there instead. There it was… ROTF mini-Devastator! You know, the one with the individually-transformable Legends Class Constructicons that used to be a Japan exclusive! I snagged that thing with the quickness and my collection is suddenly looking a great deal cooler! My only complaint is that Devs’s head articulation could have been better. Either way, it’s still a kick-ass addition to anyone’s TF collection.
