Feel the same way atm. With no encores, no new mp’s…it’s a pretty drab 2010 so far. Like I want to get into alternity, but I only have one right now so it would be a bit expensive side line to start collecting at 50-60 a pop. If they were alt scale I’d be all over them, but the smaller scale just makes me cringe a bit to want to collect this line.
The shining light at the end of the tunnel seems to be WFC. Both TF fans and casuals that I’ve chatted with are both pumped for it, which is odd for a TF title. I’m really hoping it turns out well too. There’s a lot riding on it so hopefully they do it TF justice.
I saw the concept art. Interesting, but could be one of those misdirection contraptions.
I think they need to put Bay on a tighter leash in regards to robot design. I feel that’s where the odd proportions of the bots in ROTF came from. The new Junkion works well in the movieverse.
Well, now that Hasbro has forced thier hand, we have something to look forward too. The potentially fake movie treatment and now the concept art leave me to believe that this movie may be a fangasm
While I really like Alternity Megatron and the Bumblebee mold, I just canceled both Starscream and Skywarp. I just don’t see where or why they would be in my collection.

Agreed. I’m slowing down in my collecting, and I’m not really looking forward to much, other than the domestic release of Thrust and then FansProject Bruticus and Punch/CounterPunch. It has been a slow 1st quarter this year. With the next MP being ANOTHER seeker mold and not something entirely new, my excitement has waned. Powercore combiners look alright, but not enough to make me want to collect them. With Lockdown, Brawn, and HA Barricade in my collection, I’m good for now.
I found a HA Barricade at Wal-Mart the other night. I almost picked it up, until some I realized some little bastard took the figure and left the packaging

I honestly am trying to set my expectations to decent, but just playing as Optimus Prime in a non-movie game will make this Awesome by itself. The one core thing I took out of the interview is that they developed the core feature set, then they added the “Transformer” element.
Yo, you guys know any good sites for transformers wallpapers? Not the michael bay stuff, the old G1 stuff by folks like Don Figeueorosa;lkjreoiajsdlkjr or whatever his last name is.
dunno any sites off hand, I usually just use google image search to find shit and wallpaper usually comes up.
if you like the newer g1 comic style just add in like dreamwave or idw into whatever tag your looking for and something wallpaper related should come up.
got shadow command megatron last night for $35. I was happy wallyworld was still clearancing the older rotf toys and shadow command came up at the same price

^Gotta say that’s pretty wicked. The wal-mart near me has a butt load of Primes and Jetfires clearanced at the same price. I think I may pick up Prime…maybe. I really want a Prime hanging around. Space is limited in my room right now. I live in a barracks and the only place for a figure is on my desk, and even then only for 1 or 2.
