AZ: I believe I have instructions for Alt Jazz in my closet somewhere. I can scan them for you at work and post them here. Did you get Revoltech Starscream? What’s he like? I ordered him and Hot Rod the other day.
Edit: Squall’s right about the similar transformations between the RX-8 and Subaru figures.
SMB: Your ex-wife should’ve gotten him Gobots instead. No one sheds a tear over them.
I remember having the same problem when I tried to transform my Jazz back into a car without looking at the instructions. The trick is to get the legs bent at a certain angle/degree.
At first I was hestitant to apply them on, because I kind of liked the plain white look, but when I decided to go through with it, I started to realize how much fun it was putting stickers on a transformer again, like back in the old days. He definately looks a lot cooler with the decals added.
He’s pretty good. Wings are a bit too small IMHO, but its a Revoltech, and its Starscream - very articulate and poseable. He also comes with Megatron in gun mode. Unlike Rev Megatron, he only has one head mode so he’s kind of stuck in smirk-mode though.
I think the most fun will be posing him together with Rev Megs.
Here’s a pic of Computron as portrayed by IDW. This is definitely doable in my eyes, especially when you consider the similarities the Metroplex figure has to the IDW design.
The idea here is to take out the shovel and replace it with a drill, or I could elect to keep the shovel and instead make a drill missile for the other end. Refer to the pics of G1 Nosecone to get an idea.
My main concern with this guy is he may be too small since he’s a scout class figure, but I feel he fits the design of the original Lightspeed almost perfectly.
A pretty obvious match here. There’s an assembly error I may have to fix that has the rear wheel much higher than it should be. It’s so high that it doesn’t even touch the ground.

I still have to figure out Scattershot and there are still some uncertainties as to who I want as Strafe (Energon Skyblast or Windrazor). I’ll follow these up later.
I have that same set of stickers. Jazz looks a 100 times better with them on. That’s one thing I miss about the old TF’s are the stickers. They really need to bring that back.
Same here. I’m anxiously awaiting those two figures. I have Prime and Meg’s looking me right in the face @ work.
I’m very interested in seeing where this goes. I’ve never been a fan of Computron but that’s probably because he came around right about the time I stopped buying TF’s as a child. Is this your first attempt at a custom? I wish you luck.
I tried doing a repaint once and recently tried giving knee joints to a KO Armada Megatron so my customizing experience isn’t that great. But I plan on getting an extra Metroplex bot since I already own one I don’t plan on using (in case I fuck it up). I may consider getting some backups at a reasonable price as well.
I believe the toy came with a single pistol, and then a Target Master, but it wasn’t until Dreamwave’s series that he started dual-wielding.
So we all know that within weeks to months from now, Kaiyodo will announce Revoltech Skywarp and Thundercraker, right? I’d like a full set of Seekers on my desk. I wonder if they’ll get around to the coneheads? I really want a damn Revoltech Soundwave, Shockwave and Grimlock now.
If anyone wants to take a look at the first script treatment for TF2, send me a PM. I’d post the link for d/l but I’m not sure about the rules regarding that.
Regardless of the fact that I hated the first movie, I am mildly interested in seeing what direction they are taking this next one too. PM please. Last I heard their will be no Dinobots in the movie and Soundwave will.
I read a few pages of it. It *appears *the Decepticons will be broken up into two separate factions: one led by Soundwave and the other by Starscream, which makes a lot of sense at least to me considering how the first movie ended.
