Transformers Thread

So I was thinking of how I wanted this Computron idea to look and while I didn’t actually start bashing, I put two figures on Cyb Metroplex’s feet to see if it would work. I’ve replaced Cyb Swerve with Excellion since he’s more on scale with Landmine. Thoughts?

I realize I have to give Landmine a drill in case you’re wondering.

I toyed with making a Computron out of Cybertron figures as well awhile ago, with Cyb Swerve as Lightspeed and Skyblast as Strafe. Then I gave it up to work on other stuff.

I think Excellion looks good as Lightspeed, better in terms of size especially with Landmine as the other leg. Are you planning on giving them feet plates as well? Cybertron Swerve made a pretty good leg piece actually without a need for a foot plate.

I hope you finish this custom Satomi. After seeing some of the other custom combiners already made (Devastator and Menasor) it’d be cool to see a custom Computron as well.

Well, there already was a custom Computron done by The Devastator, a well-known kitbasher on many TF forums.

He made this.

Basically, he took the original G1 toys and gave them something they didn’t have: articulation (and better detailing).

Mine is more of a modern take.

p.s. He also made a custom Abominus

Yea, I was thinking of something that would be like Ptitvite’s classics Devastator or Redline’s Menasor. A slightly different take on the G1 Combiners and not just the more articulated G1 versions.

The articulated G1 combiners are still nice tho.

I just got Cyb Swerve and Ransack off eBay to see what works better. Ideally, I’d like this to include deluxe scale figures, but I’m considering the use of scout class as well. Also bought a spare Metroplex in case I fuck it up.

The only real problem I’m having is figuring out how to do Scattershot.

p.s. galleries of the new Classics figures and Botcon exclusives can be found here.

Articulated Predaking :wow:

After passing him up so Bay can attach a more well-known Hollywood name to the list of talent, I hope Welker pisses on whatever offer they would make.

Your Computron is looking really good so far, Satomi. Keep up the hard work, I’m sure he’ll turn out as you expect him too. I thought the steam shovel looked kinda’ off but I forgot he had a drill.

And those customs you linked too are crazy. I think the Predacons look a little too lanky by being so tall now, but geez, the added articulation does add a nice touch.

Thanks, I’m still keeping a smaller scale version in mind. We’ll see.

What do you guys make of this?

Binaltech Arcee

Good freaking lord, that’s a lot of TF’s. You’d think having such an extravegant collection this person would find better display shelves to use that those cheap looking plastic ones.

And yes, we have new Binaltech’s coming. Sweet. Hasbro hasn’t made any announcement that they are bringing back the line to the US yet, have they? They better.

It’s funny: I was looking for a shelf to display my figs and I bought the same cheap plastic one at Walmart. It’s a modest collection and I only have a few MP and Alt/BT.

Go to IKEA. They have basic 8-ft tall wood bookshelves in light tan, black and white for $30.00. They look a million times better.

Custom MP Ramjet

This just makes me wanna get started on my Computron. But I’m waiting for my spare figs…

that Ramjet is beautiful.

Wow… just wow… Ramjet has always been my favorite conehead and a that masterpiece custom is just pure madness:wow:

That’s a great looking custom but damn, Ramjet’s got some of the ugliest colors I’ve ever seen on a TF. I always liked Thrust, I was never a big fan of Ramjet or Dirge.

Fucking people have waaaay too much talent these days.

now i know why i stopped collecting the ala after rumble came out.
looks like arcee on the roids. which i understand the problem with licensings and etc but still

Lol, I never knew they had GI Joe style PSAs on TF.

Does anyone have any figures they’re planning or trying to sell?

Thanks.

I’m clearing out a lot of my Beast Wars and Beast machines figures.
