I was kinda surprised about that as well. I was expecting part of the nosecone to be used.

What’s a pre-tool mean?
A pretool is a situation where Hasbro releases the secondary character using a repaint/retool of a mold before the release of the intended character.
Examples include
Titans Return Megatron being released before TR Blitzwing
TR Optimus Prime being released before TR Octane
You can be certain that with the engineering that is heavily inspired by the v1 MP, Bumblebee was made first and Cliffjumper was the secondary mold. It’s just that they put CJ out before Bee.

I’m surprised that Hasbro got licensing /permission from Volkswagen and NASA for ER toys.
Usually that’s only reserved for Masterpiece.

I am sure that was an existing agreement. I am sure that’s in part because ER Bee is heavily inspired by the MP figure.

Since it was available on Tubi, I decided to check out Transformers: Animated. I initially didn’t watch the show because the aesthetic didn’t appeal to me. I got through the first 3 eps. If the way this is written continues, I can honestly see why some people put it in their top 5 of TF series.

The aesthetic is a bit goofy but it looks good for characters like Megatron, Blitzwing, Lockdown, Jazz.
Some of the story /character stuff is quite cool.

Main reason why I started watching it was because it got mentioned multiple times when comparing it to the Netflix show. Liking what I’m seeing so far.
The only animated figure that I have in my collection is the Japanese version of Optimus Prime. I did have Rodimus Minor, but sold it a while back.
I want it for all the wrong reasons.

Arcee is a 1983 Ford Mustang in the TF vs Terminator comic.
Once they finish this trilogy, I hope Hasbro can go in on some of those designs. IDW Springer is quite possible one of the best CHUG figures ever produced. I’d dive back into the mainline stuff if this were to happen.
