Surprised at Hasbro’s blatant ruthless ways perhaps…
Hasbro engineer: “Ok sir, got these sweet new G1 style molds ready to go. I’ll bet the fans are gonna love’em”.
Hasbro Executive: “Whoa, whoa. How about we hold off on that, and cook up some oddball variation designs first. Then after the fans buy up all those, we’ll put out the GOOD ones they’ll REALLY want!”.
Hasbro Engineer: “Ok i guess if we space them out enough over the next 5 years tha----”
Hasbro Executive: “Naaa fukk that noise. We’ll put out both designs literally back-to-back!”.
Hasbro Engineer: “Wow. Some might see that as a dick move”.
Hasbro Executive: “It’s all good. My contact at the Shoryuken forums will defend us. Oh, and have that Earthrise version 2.0 Prime ready by september”.
Hasbro Engineer: “WTF? But we just put out the first one!”
Hasbro Executive: “Sho-Ryu-Ken-Forums”.
Hasbro Engineer: “Point taken sir. I’ll give ER 2.0 Prime a slightly different shade of red or something next time”.
I dont have a CHUG SW, SS and while I have Universe Bluestreak, this one looks so much better and hopefully the car doors wont fall off if I look at it.
They’re literally redoing/reselling everybody we just fuggin’ got a minute ago, and spitting them back out! WTF.
It goes without saying we’ll have an ER ratchet too. I remember back when Ratchet was this wal-greens exclusive everybody was looking for. Low and behold, 5 frackin’ minutes later we’re getting ANOTHER Ratchet.
That first attempt is trash by today’s standards. Both versions of this new release are great. If I were to pick one up, the Cybertronian mode appeals a bit more to me.
