Not impressed by the new Megatron, and from what i’ve seen of the headsculpt, Siege Megs looks better. And more like how Megs should. Furthermore, the new Tank alt mode isn’t particularly impressive compared to the Siege one. It’s just another tank.
And off-topic but, wow! 3rd Party, TMNT Minibot Transfomers! They look like they all use the POTP Legends Brawn mold.

Thoughts on MP Lio Convoy.
Alt Mode
My opinions of that Beast Mode haven’t changed. It looks ok in the right pose or just flat out gross. Still, it’s light years ahead of the original figure.
Transformation
It’s updating the original figure’s scheme, but adding things that just seem more complex than they need to be. I didn’t have any concerns over breaking anything. However, there are still a few small hinges that I could see as problems (mostly in the mane armatures) if you’re just winging it. Easy to get the hang of, but nothing gives me that “Masterpiece Moment”. Part of that is really the design of the robot itself.
Robot Mode
Now this is where it shines. This is practically perfection. Only thing that would have made it better is some sort of satin clear coat over the body. The figure is toleranced pretty well. and is poseable.
Reccomendation
Key thing here is what draws you to it. For me, was it worth it, yes. For you, at least one of these have to fit your fancy:
Do you like Lio Convoy?
Do you like interesting renditions of “Prime”?
Do you like big cat Transformer kibble?
Even though I think it’s pretty solid, this comes down to why you want it. If none of those hit you, it’s a pass. As a Transformer, it’s alt mode and general schema are an enthusiastic meh. However, if any of those three things align with your sensibilities, you won’t be disappointed
Writer David Wise died of lung cancer.
He was a prolific animation writer. He wrote the most episodes of the G1 Transformers cartoon (15 of 98), was the main story editor and writer of 1987 TMNT show doing 100 episodes, and worked on Batman TAS for 3 episodes , showcasing the debut of Riddler, Clock King, and Hugo Strange.

This is why I am pretty much just MP at this point. WFC is really awesome, but I can’t do that to myself, my wallet, or the space in the home. I have seven detolfs now (two unbuilt) and that’s a lot of wall it occupies.
lol I’m definitely keeping them in the basement. And my end game is getting my favourite dudes from the WFC line. Then I’m done!
