It’s year of the rat. If they don’t announce it in 2020, it is a missed opportunity. I sent one of my college friends a pic of the MP Tigatron announcement. She asked if I was gonna get it. My response:
G1 has more “interesting” designs and it’s the series that started it all, but Beast Wars is the series that I connected with as a kid. I remember watching the first episode.
I just randomly had the TV on that morning. Missed the intro, but caught the show from the moment the ships started to descend to the planet. I was like, oh CG show with animal things. Then I heard the line that got me late for school.
“Optimus, the word is spot-on-smooth”
I had to beg my mom to let me ride that episode out LOL. I think part of my affinity for the show was that I didn’t see it coming. It eventually became the best Transformers narrative show to date.
Seeing these as a reality just gives it all the nostalgia points.

I see you guys saying Terrosaur and Rattrap meanwhile I’m looking at Tigertron and thinking okay Airazor could be next.
The one positive about Beast Wars since the character pool wasn’t as huge as the other series I think it’s easier to pick who could be next. Unless the go Beast Wars Neo or BWII which I hope they stay away from for the time being.
Albeit I’m low key wanting Inferno to be in the pipeline soon.

I can’t find it for Tigertron (though I haven’t looked) but the MP Arcee is Going to MSRP for $140 usd.
Tigatron is going to be around $220 (24,000 JPY).

Took them forever to bring out Arcee. She was pretty popular, so I don’t get why it took this long.
When I realized a decent Optimnus figure will cost at least 180 after all the taxes and stuff, I thought about looking into Arcee, only to find out that MP Arcee never came out yet, and third party ones are serviceable.
But then I saw the price for the Big Firebird Arcee and I thought well that price tag looks pretty decent, but then I saw the pictures and I was laughing. It’s hilarious.
By far the funnist bit was someone mentioning that Takara didn’t like the design and didn’t allow them to call this arcee, so the designers picked the name to NICEe instead, lol. Gotta give it to them for the apt name.

Solid figure, but the MP trick with the crane is an awesome engineering moment. Still, great entry into the CHUG line.
So my youtube main page is suddenly flooded with Earthrise Prime videos, and i briefly started to consider if he was worth replacing the excellent 35th Siege Prime over.
I’m thinking no. It’s tough to put my finger on it but, there are various subtle FLAWS in it’s design. He just doesn’t look quite like Prime should. While Seige Prime, especially 35th anniversary colors, looks great.
I do like the way earthrise Prime’s arms look and relative lack of kibble. But there’s just SOMETHING about the figure that looks off. They should have let that design bake in the oven longer i think. Plus the $50 “Leader-Class” Price-point.
You and me both. Siege looks better overall. The figure looks a bit blocky and it’s got slightly longer legs. The waist doesn’t have a more “athletic” taper. Also the face under the “cap” isn’t painted. The transformation of the figure is the most interesting part, but Siege looks better even with the cardboard cape strapped to its back .

The “abs/grill” section area, and the side chrome stripes look strange and misshapen also. And the lower abdomen looks changed, and could use some additional yellow paint apps too.

That’s the Bumblebee movie rendition. I like that figure, but it’s not the greatest representation of the model in both vehicle and robot mode.
There are a number of KOs that are being done of that toy in particular. It’s OK in it’s current size, but making it oversized just accentuates all of its flaws.
Looks like a Wing era Gundam.

That was going to be the drawback on some of the beast wars excellent in robot mode not so much in beast mode.
