You might be able to find it cheaper at an import store like nin-nin or amiami. Though that is doubtful because usually import stores Mark up due to customs. You might find success on amazon.jp though. like @Optimus124 did with Megs getting it for almost $100 of msrp
If you grab it Cheetor off of Amazon JP, it’s about $65 shipped. May be a few bucks more once you add exchange rate fees. Ultimately, it’ll save you at most $10 ordering from an overseas seller at this point.
The best time to order up is when the pre-order first starts. Great thing is that Amazon does not charge you until shipped. The one thing different about Amazon JP vs other import sellers (e.g. AmiAmi and Hobby Link Japan) is that as people pre-order it, the price tracks up towards the MSRP. For example, MP-44 (Prime V3) is 54,000 JPY (about $480 US) at full retail. Pre-ordered it the day that it was announced; the price was 33,426 JPY ($299 USD). As of today, the price is listed at 44,629 JPY ($380 US). When the figure is release in August, my cost (after shipping and exchange fees) will be around $320. BBTS and the like are selling it for $449.
I just like how this guy got stop motion animation to work well with the original G1 animation.
Good thing for us Sunbow and Marvel known to cheap out on the frame rate, making theses kinds of edits slightly more easier.
Was at wal-mart and doing my usual scan through the figures section while i was at it. Saw some new guys: G1 Gears & Warpath! Hadn’t heard about them till now.
I think I am getting back out of CHUG (at least for the Decepticons). I don’t plan to get this, but looks awesome. Hopefully, an MP release happens with this character.
I really need to refocus again. Sometimes I look at the shelves and think that I honestly don’t need/ want this. There are parts of the CHUG line that I really enjoy. However, many of the Decepticons I have because you “need” the opposite side represented. MPs are completely different as they are the nostalgia factor in physical form.
