2 month early review of SIEGE Jetfire!
I donât think it works with the MP line but a customizer would have a field day adding in all of the detail.
Blackarachnia is one of the few characters introduced in Beast Wars I actually liked.
OMG! Donât look now but, the Best mainline G1 Prime interpretation just got BETTER:
Edit: I see one for $74 on e-bay. So tempting. Only thing is he would be out of place/scale with my CW Megs & POTP RodimusâŚ

Inferno. Because FOR THE ROYALTY AND MY QUEEN!
Even though I grew up when G1 was on and I loved the series I didnât watch it on a consistent basis like say TMNT, GI Joe or Thundercats. So I donât have much attachment to the G1 guys. Which is why almost all my picks are from beast wars.
Nice
Astro Train is also one of my Honorable mentions
Other Honorable mentions in no order
Jet Fire
Bumblebee
Chromia
Iron Hide
BlackArachnia
Just the idea of Astro Train is so fucking bizarre to me. Like cliff jumper turns into military helicopter and Jeep or whatever. Those make sense. But the dude is a space train.
You forget that he is a triple changer: Robot, train, and space shuttle. He does all the flying in his shuttle mode, not train. Also Astrotrain came about in the first few seasons which were grounded on Earth, with 1980âs earth based vehicles of the era. So a train mode on earth in that time period was not out of the ordinary.
The futuristic vehicle goodness and all the space battles didnât happen till Season 3.
Hasbro had to use the mold because reasons. What makes it even stranger was that he was a steam engine from the 1940s. It may be the most dated alt-mode out of all of the characters in the show (next to the Dinobots).
Astrotrain was a steam-engine. Even in the late 70s/80s those were not common engines.
I guess. My point was, Astrotrain was a character introduced during the Earth-grounded seasons and his alt-modes are closer in line with that. Stuart mistakenly assumes that it was always crazy futuristic space battles but, that didnât occur till later.
No. I didnât. Where did I even remotely assume that? All I said is I find his concept fucking weird. Cause it is.
YOu think Astrotrain is strange, Broadside is even worse.
Aircraft Carrier >> Robot >> Jet
All those make sense for that robot though.
It is weird how he can turn into something massive like a aircraft carrier and then turn into something like a jet. Thatâs very disproportionate
Astro Train is a choo-choo rocket. Those donât compute.
I really wonder what the designer for the toy was thinking that day and all the steps between that and final release.
You were specifically whining about trains in space. I was correcting you, in more than one way.
What the fuck are you even talking about? I wasnât even remotely âwhiningâ. And you âcorrected meâ on shit that was completely irrelevant to the conversation. The only things I have said is his design and concept is weird is fuck.
Hey, I get it. You canât stand it when someone corrects you and, you take it personally, for some strange reason. Itâs part of your âconditionâ. Sorry, deal with it.
