How much is this game? 60USD?
I played nothing but multiplayer all day yesterday. I’m playing on PC, and while the multiplayer is fun, there are SOME REALLY FUCKING BASIC functions that the devs should have included. My major complaint is that there’s absolutely no chat function, nor is there a substitute for it like radio commands, nor is there any built-in VOIP. How the fuck can you make a MULTIPLAYER game without the ability to communicate with your teammates?!?!?! I know 3rd party software like Ventrilo or TeamSpeak is out there, but that’s no excuse. The game NEEDS a chat function and they need to add it ASAP. They also need to add a built in VOIP function. Do the console versions have this?
There’s no way to remap your controls, so you are stuck using the default keyboard/mouse setup (unless you have a game pad). Stupid. The only way to cycle through your primary weapons is the mousewheel and I hate using that shit. Let me use the number keys like damn near every PC game out there.
No indication of your ping to a server. No server browser. No dedicated servers (but I pretty much expected this). Very little choice for adjusting the graphics.
With that being said the gameplay itself was awesome and I had a ton of fun. Besides the aformentioned ommissions, I feel the the game is very solid and I’ve yet to run into any major bugs/glitches or have any crashes. Right now I’m loving the soldier and leader classes the most. The soldier has a minigun that chews up people super quick, and his cannon shots in tank mode have a good amount of splash damage, so you can hit people hiding around corners. IMHO he’s the only class that actually has a useful vehicle mode besides the scientist. The leader class is great for buffing teammates (or just yourself lol). Warcry seems to give a nice defense and damage boost. You can also unlock some kinda ball that rolls around and slows the movement of any enemy that gets close to it which is great from keeping people out of melee range while you blast away. People are already whoring the scout’s sniper rifle. That shit is stupidly powerful. Takes out the soldier in 2 body shots. Unfortunately I think games may degrade into scout sniper wars sometime soon, especially the deathmatch-type modes.
The game is very fun but it NEEDS built in chat right now.
Console versions have in game voice chat and there are adjustable control schemes, well, two of them.

I personally think this game is better than Gears of War, I need to get this game already.
I’ll take ventrilo anyday over in-game chat.
I like some kind of control over my audio options, ability to mute/remove spam and so on.
Too many kids abuse that shit anyway and make it unbearable for the people that just want to communicate, who then end up going to vent anyways. IMO wasted money for the development of that when ventrilo is a perfectly free and viable option.
I haven’t tried the PC multiplayer yet, but no ping/browser/servers would suck. I’ll have to check it out tonight. And while I didn’t use the keyboard/mouse combo yesterday, the gamepad setting are extremely good, everything moved fluidly. Will have to try out the kb/mouse combo and see how different it is.
Yeah this game is the shit. OmegaSupreme on hard difficulty was fuckin crazy.
Anyone annoyed by not being able to shoot when landing from a jump? Are there other shooters out there that do the same? I don’t play many shooters but I’m lovin’ this game so much so far.
They didn’t mention the PC version one time when I was out in Cali for the preview event.
Transform before you hit the ground and fire vehicle weapons.
My gaming PC shits on current gen consoles but I ended up getting this game for 360 due to the horrible PC port. Fuck you High Moon/Activision.
Ventrilo is Not a viable alternative for people who want to casually play the game with random people. Plenty of games with built-in VOIP options give you the ability to mute other players. I could live without VOIP if the fucking game had SOME type of chat or radio commands. You can’t coordinate shit right now. You can’t call for ammo. You can’t call for a medic. You can’t tell your teammates when you are going to use Warcry. You cant yell at your teammates for all going fucking Scout and leaving you the only visible Medic. It’s especially insulting since the console versions apparently do have voice communication without the need to download additional software.
Nothing more fun than doing a huge stunt jump and transforming mid-air.
Can you elaborate more why you think its like call of duty transformers? Are there kill streaks, attachments weapons to unlock, perks, or are you just referring to the arcade fast action of COD?

Perks, weapons challenges, the levelup system, etc yeah the online setup is VERY COD-esque…which isn’t surprising since Activision is the publisher.
I can buy the Asian version today yessssssssss.
Kinda worried about DLC though. I’m sure that some of the pre-order exclusives (Jazz, Shockwave) will be available as DLC later, and I don’t want to get screwed out of them.
Thanks Zoolander, i didn’t know Activision was the publisher…your right that’s not surprising at all. Now I’m actually thinking of buying the game. People are raving about it and the Cod online setup has me sold. Too bad about the framerate dipping at times…thats a bummer. I wonder if 360 suffers from framerate drops also.
I haven’t had any framerate drops during multiplayer on the 360. I have only played about 2 hours though.
Game is awesome. Being a Jet is awesome. Wish I had more than 3 life 
EDIT: I also hate the fact that you cannot have a white autobot. It is just so you do not confuse who is autobot and who is decepticon I guess…
