…I beat Chapter 1.
I think I got what Po’s hyped up on, cause GODDAMN. I CAN’T STOP GRINNING.
Game must be laced with Joker serum. BUT I DUN GIVE A DAMN CAUSE IT’S HYPE AND IT’S GEWD!!!
You’re cool man… It’s just the fact that this game is looking like it might suffer from the PLATINUM CURSE™ of being a fucking awesome, properly-built game that won’t sell because the majority of the player base and reviewers are fucking morons bothers the fuck out of me.
Even GameFAQS*(yeah, LOL), where they pick apart every P game to its atoms is a barren wasteland…
It’s like no one knows this game exists, or are listening to some idiot who doesn’t know how to break a game down to its essential elements, yet somehow has a job doing just that telling them its not worth it, but will praise some hand-holding, text adventure as the NEXT BIG THINGBrock Lesnar…
This is the game I’ve always dreamed of when thinking of what I wanted in a game based on Transformers… So I apologize if I’m going too HAM on trying to convince people to at least give it a shot.
Yea understand dude. That’s how I feel about a lot of action games an shit, they tend to be too hard and too technical for the masses so they fall to the wayside. It fuckin sucks. If I had a disposable income (Or more of one then I currently have anyway) I’d probably go out and buy it right now, but I don’t, so I can’t. Shit I really shouldn’t have bought MGSV when I did, I’m now behind on like two bills because I decided to be irresponsible (Worth it!) and buy a game brand new. I still haven’t gotten to buy The Witcher 3 even tho I really fucking want it, so ond so fourth.
Download that shit if you got a PC.
It’s not like you would buy all the shit you download if you did not download it.
Can’t spend money you don’t have.
You don’t steal from anyone, it’s just a fucking copy.
Personally I only buy stuff once I have a bit of saved-up money, and often times it’s stuff I downloaded beforehand and I really liked.
I mean if you’re wealthy and shit and don’t pay for your entertainment, then you’re just a twat.
But if you don’t have shit to begin with then you’re just a man doing what he has to do.
That ch. 2 end boss was some fucking heat and the song for the 2nd half of the fight matched perfectly. I took today off and really wish I could’ve spent it all on the game
P* seems to nail the look and feel of what they are going for. To say they did this and also are responsible for MGR is insane. I You can tell its a title with a short dev window, but damn I swear, they hit all the corners just right, It may be a 4-5 hr campaign at $40 bucks, but it is money well spent. I can think of a number of times that $40 got me much less. The more I play it, the more I like it, nostalgia and all.
I watched the first episode of that last night, it was so cool.
I agree with crotch though, I have no real Transformers nostalgia aside from vague memories of watching it with my brother so that angle isn’t really working on me. But Platinum is great and I love that this game even exists so I will buy it eventually.
The only part of mgr I enjoyed was fighting the samurai guy with blast shields.
everything aside from that was terrible, horrible , and awful.
The soundtrack was HORSE SHIT.
The final boss has to be one of the worst final bosses in any video game ever.
Story was like a fanfic written by a jr high weeb.
game play was extremely mediocre.
I would rather play dmc.
I’m all for platinum making a kill la kill game.
both of them just share the same style perfectly.
Man this game isn’t as good as I hoped but it’s WAY more fun than I expected. And like all P* games the depth becomes more apparent the more you play on harder difficulties. I’m actually pleasently surprised by it’s mechanics, I just wish it was fleshed out a little more. I feel like Grimlock and Bumblebee are the only characters that have strong flavor to their style but their styles don’t even matter for bigger enemies.
I was worried about how the interplay of guns and melee would feel but they did a good job I think. The fact that his can initiate vehicle attacks and that headshots exist, plus the really generous auto-aim really help it fit in.
Could say more but on mobile and I fucking HATE typing on mobile…
I support the devs, but I’m also supporting my wallet and my own priorities. I bought a WiiU because Bayonetta 2, but I’m not buying Korra for 50 bucks, I’m sorry
And I know the $50 pricetag was probably Activision’s idea, but still…
I’m old enough so Transformers was part of my childhood, I loved the toys and the cartoon, but I’m not really a nostalgia kind of person, I even tried watching the '86 animated movie recently and it aged terribly… I couldn’t bear watching it… G1 Transformers means as much as those Michael Bay movies too me at this point
Hope the soundtrack gets an official release, i believe Platinum has their own record label type of thing so they can release their soundtracks. So this DEFINITELY needs a release
I’ve always dug the MGS stories pre-MGS4 so I can’t agree with your knock on KojiPro on this one. The rest of your post reads like a satire on Sonicabid’s post in the VGG thread about P*.
I’m kinda surprised to. I mean just remembering shit I’ve heard to discredit some of their games, I’ve heard “Bayonetta is just DMC with boobs” like yeah they’re cut from the same cloth but they don’t feel like the same game due to DMC being more offensive and Bayo is kinda based around uhh “defensive rhythm” due to the dodge and witch time mechanic, but at the same time if you like one you’d probably like the other.
Seen people say they skipped Vanquish completely because it’s single player only lol.
