I’m running 130% credit find and they stack. Do 2 chapters and you get 1 million credits easily. Crafting of TECH is pretty random, just seems to increase the odds of getting good affixes if you hit the orange spot on the bar, although I got -10% Melee Damage even though I hit the orange bar.
Yooooo Grimlock is THE SHIT. If you use the hammer, you can half charge a light attack and that will force a back turned state on the enemy. In this state you can actually get a grab in and suplex the. So yeah, Grimlock has Flash Chop -> Suplex like Alex. It’s super fucking good.
Additionally all the states in which you can grab an enemy with the circle button that I’ve found are as follows:
During stun (yellow effect)
“Light stun” (electric effect, very short, happens sometimes in melee, not sure how it happens)
Backturned
Immediately after focus initiates, just like a reversal
Downed
When they’re in downed state it becomes a regular lift like they were a throwable object. This type of grab is not unique to Grimlock.
Btw fist weapon can put people in backturn state too. Light, light, delay heavy for example. Not sure about others but I don’t think so. Really good for landing Bumblebee’s Back Attack, which is also amazing
A lot of them definitely stack. Can’t say for sure if all of them do though.
Most of them are self explanatory if you look at the weapon details or the descriptions given to them when you decide what affixes to keep on a synthed weapon. Only one I can’t figure out is what is “Overdrive”? Can’t find any info. It’s not your character ability or your ultimate move.
Ice Weapons, well, the Machine Gun from what I’ve seen, actually pierces shielded enemies. They get melted really fast as well, pretty handy if you don’t wanna waste time going into vehicle mode.
weapon ranks are tied to difficulties. On normal you rarely get B and very rarely A. On hard its A and S. I don’t know if there are SS rank weapons but in any case on very hard S ranks are regular rares
The peeps on Gamefaqs who are talking about the game need some of these tips info, so I hope you d00ds don’t mind if I shared some of these with those over there.
Who knows, someone may also come up with something fierce as well.
Can confirm there are SS rank weapons. Stacked some RareDrop+ and ~100% Droprate bonus TECH on Bumblebee, and SS Rank the Magnus+ difficulty on the last 2 Challenges. Dunno about actual drop rate, I just know they can drop.
So from what I can tell, Sideswipe is best overall due to combos, Bumblebee is weak as fuck (seriously, his stats are that low and he STILL has higher ranged than melee?) and Wheeljack is pointless for challenge mode?
Nah, most weapons are shared between many characters. Bumblebee can equip twin swords for example.
Sideswipe is good cause high vehicle speed, double vehicle attacks(like Bumblebee) and high damage on those vehicle attacks.
Bumblebee is good cause he has a Back Attack. press circle when you are behind any enemy, they can be in robot or transformed mode, doesnt matter. He’ll do an attack that has high damage for a single hit, but more importantly, does a fuckton of stun damage. One of those can stun a grunt and 2-4 can stun anything else, even bosses.
His L1 personal skill is great because it lets you land one free hit and puts you behind them, like Yun/Yang’s grabs. so of course, great time to use the Back Attack.
You can also pull off 2 back attacks from a single Focus really easily. One more of those and basically everything is stunned.
Stun is real important in higher difficulties because it means one free combo into vehicle attacks that they CANNOT escape from.
Additionally, guns are quite good, headshots especially in the right situations, and he has the second highest ranged attack.
I can’t even get past challenge #4, tbh. All I see are the same flip kick vehicle attacks from Bumblebee and Sideswipe; is there a way to pick the vehicle attack you want?
Korra is dogshit compared to this. Finally took some time to beat that game and WTF did I play? It has awful combat flow compared to anything P* has ever done, not to mention, Korra is generally pretty stiff, even though she can cancel everything into evade or block. I know they were on a budget and rushed production but how the hell did P* screw that up so bad? Game done by interns?
They had almost ZERO dev time on Korra… Like less than six months. Activision just wanted to shit out a game before the series ended its run, and gave P* a dumpster fire to put out. It was the MGR situation, but 10x worse since EVERYTHING had to be built from scratch.
It was done by Platinum’s B-Team, but as this Transformers game has shown, the B-Team is legit when given proper time and a workable budget.
Got around to downloading it today. It’s just about everything I ever could have wanted from a G1-based game. The over-the-top combos and graphics feel 80’s enough to, as others have touched on further up, make it feel like you’re in an actual Transformers episode. The OST is top-notch too.(can’t wait to peep that) My only real gripe is the lack of a Decepticon campaign, but that’s not THAT big of a deal, honestly. Any other complaints on my part like, oh, say, low ammo counts (before equipment mod/synthesis and T.E.C.H.-based shenanigans, anyways), which is something I noted because I’m spoiled there from FoC, is because I have yet to adjust to the mentality of ‘get in that ass, stay there, and git gud at doing so in the first place, because you gotta swing, not shoot, casul’ mentality that seems to be the idea with this kind of game. …Which is an idea I can and am getting behind, for what it’s worth.
Just finished the game…what a fucking ride. That game gives no breathing room and I say that in a good way. Gonna do a play through as each dude. I did Bumblebee, so probably gonna do Sideswipe or Optimus next.
You know on sites I still see complaints about length, and Im like yeah the game is short but it’s the type of game you go back to because there’s TONS of shit to do. i dont understand this mentality that every game gotta be jrpg length, because I’d get burned out having to play a 60 hr Bayo game, Starfox, Sonic, or any series/genre that shouldn’t be stretched out just be “worth $60”
I finished the story but I’ve just barely scratched the surface, of course… now it’s time to go for better ranks, more gear, synthesis, leveling the characters as much as I can, Challenge stages, etc. etc.
SHOCKWAVE, man… SOUNDWAVE battle with the tapes out on the field… there’s so many great moments going on here… I can’t say enough good things about this. Words won’t do it justice…people must experience it first hand.
