And Unreal, I agree with that as well, Beast Wars Megatron was more intelligent and dastardly than his other counterparts.
IMO BW Megatron isn’t like the other Megatrons, but is still one of the most badass villains in TF lore.
…and yes BW megatron>G1 Cartoon megatron. BW got stuff done, G1 would order his troops to retreat EVEN WHEN THEY WERE WINNING.

I dunno, the Autobots did help the humans on how to combat Decepticons, and I could see them helping in developing weapons for them.
If there’s one thing the Decepticons can have over humans I think it should be Decepitcons being able to outsmart them.
It was in reference to a comment about Bay being upset since someone mentioned TF4. Just saying that he doesn’t care as the movie was getting millions of dollars just a few days.
I’ve been reading some of the other forums and noticed there is a huge outcry for Unicron. I mean generally speaking he was the enemy to all Transformers, not the just Autobots.
Beast Wars caused more G1 flame wars than the flames painted on Optimus in the movies. You must have forgot TRUKK not MUNKY! It’s honestly the greatest series Hasbro has created in terms of both character and story, and takes direct cues from the original lore.

I never even knew that beast wars could be hated on. Mainframe(or Rainmaker) needs to do more stuff like this.
I guess my thing is, old schoold Megatron was powerful…and kinda gangsta so to speak, but he was shallow - which was perfectly fine for what he was and when he was, but BW Megatron felt SO much more fleshed out, his thought process made him a true counterpart to prime and made him seem a worthwhile villain. As well he had WAY more personality - he was truly a likable villain - to me anyways…as others have mentioned - yyyeeessss. I think that BW Megatron might have done a better job in this series - the Megatron they used was good for TF1, but for a trilogy I would think BW Megatron ‘mold’ would have made for better execution. shrug

I don’t think you can pick it up on that youtube vid, but I remember when I first watched that (I had to tape the episodes because of when they came on and when I got home from school) Optimus’ head actually flies toward the screen among the wreckage.
I’m not quite sure where the “my childhood was raped” stuff comes from considering that Hasbro’s comics and toons were and are purely a springboard to sell toys, with main starting characters being forgotten about halfway through a series or even having series’ ending abruptly simply because those particular toys aren’t selling well and get shelved. Some comics would have pages of introductions to characters that were completely unimportant. So, your childhood was already raped my friends, you just didn’t notice.
Re: TF3, I thought it had an exceptionally awkward start with no link/continuity from RotF. I also can’t fathom why Sam would be unemployed or why once again some hard ass from the government has to treat him like a punk when he’s been fighting with the Transformers since 2 movies ago - it all just seems rehashed/rushed. Having Fox’s character written out simply as “Sam got dumped” was just very tired. After going through all of the hell for Sam previously, she just ups and leaves? Come on, at least give the character a better exit than that instead of being so childish you want to make a dig at the actress.
The flow felt very sloppy with very little regard for majors being killed all over the place and the ending was incredibly rushed.

I totally dug the alien invasion though, but where the hell did all the Decepticons go that teleported through the gate initially? To start with there so tons of them and suddenly as the Autobots and humans assault the city, there is a severe reduction in enemy number.
And Statham in TF4? If he is, I actually won’t watch that. If I want to see cardboard, I’ll pick up some boxes. Jeremy Renner ftw.
The childhood rape comes from quite delusional TF fans. Yeah, there are comic mythos and what not, but outside of about 10-15 episodes out of 98, there really isn’t that deep of a story. I agree with you, as the '86 Movie was nothing more than a way to get rid of old product and refresh the lineup.
Re: TF3 -
Sam was unemployed, but the feds paid for his school. Since it was classified, it’s not like he could broadcast what he did. However, like Sec. Mearing stated, he was a messenger, and outside of the whole all spark/ Megatron reverse chestburster, that’s all he really did. The whole dumping thing, I was actually cool with. They didn’t dwell on their past relationship as something happened between them, Carly steps in, and they’ve been together for years. The intro bedroom scene sets it up decently, but some better writing could have made it more believable. I don’t think they made a dig at her (outside of Brain’s “She was mean”) line.
Agree with the flow. I can’t say it was “sloppy”, but there was a good bit of excess. The best example was the the driller skyscraper scene. They fell through the building one too many times IMO. 20-30 minutes could be shaved off with no issues.
Major character deaths, yeah one or two lines would have done it justice. However, I do feel that the look certain characters give a one moment capture that.

The rumor about Statham has been debunked. If he was in it, I don’t know how it would work. He kicks the mes out of people, but won’t be able to snap a 'Con’s neck unless it was really small.
Yes, but he’s already deeply involved, surely the best way to both keep an eye on Sam and make sure he keeps quiet is to give him a job where they can keep him where they can see him, not to mention that he’s important to Optimus.

Sure, but one minute they’re all flooding through and then nothing. I completely understand the reason and need to create a set up for another movie, but not when we’re supposed to believe that the wave of Decepticons that came in are just off chilling somewhere while the others blow up the city
TF4: Headmasters! 
Oh and one more thing regarding humans Vs transformers. They did state they made special ammo, but they soon forgot about it and just went back to the standard issue M4 :rolleyes: and didn’t Optimus state in the second movie that they were not sharing technology due to the nature of of man and war?
You know, about the Headmasters thing, if there was a binary bonding process between the humans and robots, that could be interesting. Hasbro may think about it, as Targetmasters have been resurfacing recently as a part of the new lines.
Oh I rolled my eyes at that too. “Set to full auto as the vibrations damage their circuits”. Giant WTF! Guess Prime said, you just gonna have to work with what you got at the moment. They could have just used sabot rounds in all of their guns, but that’s a stretch. They did blow up parts of the Cons off first before they went down by bullet fire.

Seriously, it was one of the loose ends that should have been tied up better. However, if all of the cons are destroyed, and Cybertron being wormholed, how could you do a bridge to to 4. Not the greatest plot trap, but it’s there.
