I just got back from work so I’m still behind on the times. On one hand, I’m disappointed the game isn’t getting any changes until the end of June that could fix the online problems. On the other, I have the shadenfreude of imagining the reactions of everyone who wanted to troll the Balrog fans in the general thread and the few that went over to the Balrog thread.

I feel like she is nerfed in this version (like everyone says, she going to need alot of work.)

what she gain:

[] resource management! keep track of kunai (since we can only use 6 at a time), keep track of V meter (for your bombs), keep track of super meter (for your EX Kazegiri since the normal version have no invincible frames).
[] a useless glide move (from what I have seen so far)
[] If everyone keeps on saying that her major advantage in this game is the bomb, that means building V meter (either using forward HK or getting hit…she only have 900 health)
[] A slighter better V-skill move that is similar to Karin, which no one barely use.

Questions
Does the raida have the same property of SF4? meaning does it have priority over grabs?
while doing her command dash, can her opponent just grab her out of it? (I noticed they can jab her out of it)
Since she’s complete (because capcom is showing her off), why do we have to wait til end of June?
With the end of June release date, she’s not valid for EVO, so does that mean alot of pro players won’t practice with her until EVO is done? basically we won’t see cool tech from Sako at EVO.
i dont know what slightly better v-skill you talk about, imo its plain worse than karins. Karin moves forward, ibuki stays in place. its like literally useless. startup is so slow it wont be used at all
It appears to be safe and can be used as a cancel, no one says it has to be tacked on every time either. You can tack it on to the end of your target combos then…not do so and in that brief pause while people wait for it to come and it doesn’t, they missed out on their frame advantage. Or you can delay it so it looks like you skipped it, then they get smacked in the face.
Then once you start messing around with that and they’re considering all that stuff, you can throw in cancelling into command dashes too.
I’m not claiming it’s an original move because it obviously isn’t but it seems to have pretty good use in Ibuki’s gameplan.
for any of those situations you can press a normal or end with lp raida/kazekiri for continued pressure.
after vskill you get nothing and i bet my ass you cant combo into it, maaaaaaaybe off f+hk crush counter but then again why would you if you can raida into pressure
Well I’m talking about situations on block, guess I should have clarified that. Seems more of an “on block” toy than something I would be aiming to hit with.
Consider me flinging a bunch of nonsense at you via target combo off of you blocking a standing 3f jab where you have to make decisions and the risk/reward is in my favor. That’s what I’m saying. If I hit with the jab, I’ll have long since confirmed into whatever is optimum.
lp(hit), mp, fp xx whatever is a good combo.
lp(blocked), mp, fp xx v skill or delayed v skill, or command dash, or kunai, or nothing. Or I don’t even do the fp.
I don’t think her v-skill will be useless, i bet she build more v-guage from it since has 3 bars unlike karin where she has 2 bars. If it is like karin then you can use as a poke and more importantly as a meaty. Also i saw she can VT cancel from it. When she comes out i want to test if she can v-skill the bomb probably might a effective way to move the bomb.
They can kick it away from them? That’s hilarious. I’m assuming the v trigger activation bomb always explodes at the exact same timing unfortunately. It’d be funny if you could V trigger and throw out the bomb that takes 3 seconds to explode, then screw around, then throw out ANOTHER bomb that takes 3 seconds to explode and everyone’s messing around with the bombs for a while.
Yeah I saw that but I dunno how useful that will actually be outside of guaranteed combos. I guess before long there’ll be extended combos that use 2 bombs where that plays into it for something cool.
