Okay I’m thinking about hosting a console tourney for 3s because it’s been getting no love lately. If I were to say, put $100 on top of the pot for first place how many people would be interested? If we can get more than 10 people I would seriously consider some place in Seattle but if we have a small tournout expected I would probably hold it locally? So guys tell me what you think of this, what day you would like it to be on, location, etc., and I will base the layout on the info I gather here. If you guys would also want I could lessen the prizes and increase the number of games to say entry back for 3rd, entry + $10 for 2nd, and $25 + rest of the pot for 1st. and do Tekken 5, CVS2, SC2, and Third Strike. Okay guys tell me what you think and this will go down sometime soon thanks!
I’m in whenever, as long as it’s fairly close to me. (Which means Seattle )
Prizes don’t really matter to me, seeing as I probably wouldn’t win them anyways. haha
If it’s on a day I can make, I’ll travel for this.
MARVEL! Where is it?
If I can get there I’ll be there money or nothing.
Seeing as this will probably be a console tourney do you guys REALLY wanna play MVC2 on the PS2? lol
If s’at Gameworks then Count me out.
Otherwise, I’ve two HRAPS, two 32 in TVs, 3 ps2s, 3 Dreamcasts, SFAC, MB AC, GGXX/, T5.0, among others. Only thing I lack is space/seating.
My stick should get shipped this week and if I had it in time to practice a little beforehand I’d come just for the casuals, I don’t care about prize money… or even playing in the tourney.
I’m jus’ not down with GW, that’s all.
That’s the kind of attitude that’s going to kill our scene.
We ALL hate GW, but there’s just no where else to go…
Oh, and Marvel on DC is good.
OK if someone brings a DC or 2 + Sticks for them then I can hold a tourney for that but unless that happens, it won’t be there, ok? Oh yes, if anyone would volunteer their own home for the tourney location, that would be awesome, if not I will have to work out a location which will delay this from going down by a few more weeks, maybe pushing it into late spring / early summer based on the schedule of possible places. So please folks the more everyone contributes and helps out the faster we can get the ball rolling on this! So far, I count the need for at least 5-6 PS2’s + 2 DC’s + sticks for all to make it super-smooth in operation and swift in execution, if not, then oh well it’ll take all day but we’ll still have fun nonetheless. So, so far, we need PS2’s, DC’s, Sticks, TV’s, and a location. Remember the more you all chip in the more fun this will be! Cheers! Paul.
Whatever man.
Besides, I"m currently trying to get a bigger place. Soon as I 'ave a place with a living room, most of you can come over and game as much as you want
Well with that said…
You should come up here…
We game at least once a week or more…depending on time…
Travel would suck.
I’m just trying to get a twice a week shandig thing going on…
Edit: But im down for that…Coming over to play…
I have a PS2 and a Dreamcast, an extra stick (PS2), Tekken 5.0, SFAC, and GGXX. For Dreamcast. . . well, I don’t really have much except Project Justice and Garou. Bringing a TV would be doubtful seeing as I would have to tote it from across the state, though I could probably do it.
Gameworks isn’t the best but either is playing a home everyday. You can only get so good playing yourself vs.cpu or vs. people you play all the time anyhow. At least your going to playing different style at gameworks here and there.
I"m down, where you guys at?
Eff all that. I encourage people to come out to my place, s’their decision if they want to or not. Besides, most of the dewds I 'ave over are the same people I game with at GW. So, the only difference is: Better controls (IMO), you can drink at your own free will, you can sit, etcetcetc. Again, EFF GW. I still swing through but I don’t care about it until anything changes. I’ll show support if s’needed but that’s that. The excuse that it’s “all we have” isn’t good enough. If that were truly the case then we’d all be there and not looking for better places to waste our cash.
W/e though, I"m done with this. Offer still, and always stands to game at my place. When I move to a bigger place then the invitation still stands, jus in fuller effect.
Mr. 0,
May I ask where in Seattle you are located? I believe I have seen you walking out of a building a block away from where I work. I work at pier 56, on top of the Argosy ticket center (its an architecture firm).
Word up Pab’.
I work on Western And Seneca: Speakeasy.
I live on Olive and Summit: Capitol Hill.
So, as far as my workplace is concerned. I"m on the opposite side of the street that Steamers/Red Robin/Etcetc is.
Sweet. I live on the edge of capitol hill by meany middle school/ miller community center. Good to know of peeps that live close and as obsessed with fighting games as I am.
