i think the problem with daigo’s team is TKD. bottom tier. they should have stuck with Yuu(akuma) or teamed with Iyo, who wasnt there?? Yuu’s akuma and Iyo’s dhalsim would have beat RF in that 1st match as Sagat imo loses to those players at highest level. Kindevu would have probably beat yuu in game 2, but beating 3 characters straight is a lot tougher - mentally - than beating 2(which he did.) iyo beat kindevu in the 1st japan nationals and could have possibly ocv’d that team. Daigo went with a weak team (fuerte) when compared to the other teams at the final stages.

Anyone know how far Kim’s team went? All 3 of them played well at the Ayano cup so I’m curious to know how they did at SBO.

All of TKD’s matches were down to like literally one or two jabs away from knock out. If these were SSFIV matches, he would have won, hands down.

Not really.
Most of U.S. started with Console SFIV which is not arcade IV, plus majority of the scene moved on to SSIV quickly.

U.S. has some good ST players with years of game play experience, some of them even play IV.

All I know is Oogosho(Ralf, Ryo, Jhun) and Sukoa(I think K’, Kasumi, King) got third/fourth, and the first place player was OZ(Hinako, K’, Nameless). Not positive who the second place player was but I think it was M’ from teh team selection.

So based on a shot of the brackets on the feed, it looks like LET’S ENGLISH, Kim1234’s team, got Top 5. They lost to RF/Momochi/Kindevu, which Team EG would have had to fight if they won that match and the next one.
