Toronto blank box on sale

It would be best to put this kind of mount in the case. Even the wireless controller need to be charge. This thing will be the solution without opening the case itself for charging the controller.

@sillypuddy
If you could put this usb mount in the casing, I’m willing to pay you up and even if it cause a delay for my case to be shipped to me

PM sent regarding a case purchase.

Yeah I wouldn’t mind paying a little extra for it pre-installed either. The less woodworking I have to do the better. my custom is a mess

Agree with you… it’s hard to find a woodworking (for USB slots) & painting job here in Singapore… I’ve searched internet and some locations here to find such shops… it’s for preparation when my cases come. And up to now, I can’t find atleast one shop

Btw, I already got the rubber feets in one of the stores here. And also the makeshift PCB holder

+1

However, PPPP you dont mention which system.

For ps3: 2 choices. If you dont have a sixaxis then as per arr4ws said: best option -toodles’ cthulhu. But if you do have a sixaxis then I would go shinjn’s axisdapter route, one word: WIRELESS.

If xobx360, you will have to hack a ms or madcatz controller.

Here is where most srk users seem to get them from.

However, for non-US buyers you have to buy 200$ before tax so it is prohibitive. I did a search on ebay and they had sellers too. As for mounting, it “LOOKS” (as I dont have one) like any button, just take a hole saw and you are done.

I would wait for Joe to annouce what usb plugs he is offering as an option.

I am experimenting with computer motherboard “risers” (??? don’t know the official term???) to mount the PCB: Cthulhu and axisdapters. I am using M3 6mm screws. AS for the sixaxis I am using the original screws … what are the size of these things M2 ??? is there such a thing

Thanks arr4ws!

How much did everything cost you? I’m very interested in this and since you are in Canada as well, I suppose our cost would be similar, if not the same.

Also, where did you order the other parts?

It’s for PS3 and I don’t have a sixaxis. I guess I’ll go with Toodle’s.

But then…

There’s no more?

Sorry, didn’t see your psn tag.

Yeah, looks that way. Get put on the wait list you never know. Shipping cost may be prohibitive to some of the oversea buyers so maybe.

Is Shinjin’s Axisdater different from toodles? Toodles is also selling Axisdapter

cool, i was thinking doing the same with a cthulhu board to mount it. how did you do it? drill a pilot hole and screw in the yellow thing?

-The cthulhu cost 64$cad (51 usd)

-all other parts ordered from akihabarashop.jp, took less than 1.5 weeks to get parts cost was 77$ cad

I’ll be using this to my pcb… no need to drill more holes in your case

Idea shamelessly stole from this thread…
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=180034

I skimmed through all 27 pages…

I really know nothing about custom sticks…may be I should read the newbie thread…I hope I’m not biting more than I can chew!

Well, i’m not in a hurry. How long of a wait are we talking about here and could you go into a little detail? Will this be pre-installed into the case or will a hole be drilled in so that we can place it in? The reason why I ask is because I want to do a special paint job on it and if it’s pre-installed then it might get in the way of me painting it. In short, sign me up for the USB plug mount :lovin:

Also, is it possible for me to cancel the primer job I originally requested? I would like to sand down the front hole corners because they are a bit too sharp. If it’s an issue, then don’t worry about it.

Thanks again! I am very thankful and appreciative of this service!

I just noticed that this layout http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/layout/shift36_l.png and the layout of the buttons on the actual stick don’t match. The bottom row of buttons should be shifted to the left slightly. Not a big deal but just thought id share my findings.

Yes… since I figure you guys would want them, I bought a batch of them so that you guys don’t have to pay for shipping individually

Let me think about that…

I have the shinjin adapter and it’s the same idea as toodles…

If you want one then just put your name down and I will see who drops out… there is always a few

yes, I did notice that… I played with the layout and I didn’t really notice a difference

There is no functional difference. I think toodles eliminated some redundant grounds. I haven’t followed his board as closely as shinjn’s

I haven’t done it yet still waiting for a couple of parts. I would pre drill a pilot and then most likely. hot glue or wood glue it because I am afraid the mdf would give out … not sure yet.

“Shared”. I saw that too. But for the life of me I CANNOT find any place in Toronto that sells it. However, I have build many PC’s … and have a TON of those computer board “riser” thingies.

I dont think so. Everything suggested to you is more or less “ready to go”.

yeah, that wasn’t the exact layout used in the final design. also the template file is a little larger than the real thing. template psd file image size is 27.9 x 21.6 cm vs 27.3 x 21 cm of the plexiglass. this could be a problem if you choose to do arts around the buttons, it’s slightly off.

Where would the USB plug go? Would I have to drill a hole myself? Would it only be available in the next batch (i.e. not the one that already has 30 spoken for?)?

How do most people mount their PCB?

some with hot glue, some with motherboard spacer…
