Btw, was there a template for the top plate?

I’ve put it on my isp webspace, give it a shot. http://members.shaw.ca/nuropa/joystick_art.zip

Post some pictures. I dont want to register!

Sorry to burst your bubble but it wasn’t that kind of wink wink nudge nudge :nono:

The LS-32’s mount with the S-plate in this case correct? I know your first post says flat plate for both, but it seems like squallriona shows it mounting with the S-plate.

i am using ls32 with the s-plate

it JUST fits…

Thanks joe for getting it out so fast…didnt think i made it in time for tonight.

Thanks for hosting, nuropa.

Yes! Thanks for getting it to the post so fast. Hope I can get it by the weekend so they can get painted.

everybody who paid should have received an email from canada post (or PM from me, for the first 3 guys because I forgot to check the box for email confirm when I shipped yours, sorry!)

if you paid and didn’t get anything (email / pm) let me know…

the rest of the guys, i will give until end of next week… then i will start to push them to the waiting list

-joe

Joe, just want to say you did a great job. I would like to commit to one but due to the shortage of parts, I’m not sure if the timing is right.

I hope to see you do another run though… hopefully there will be enough demand for them because you really did put a lot of work into it and it shows.

I am picking up the Happ compatible box prototype tonight… hopefully it will be smooth sailing since it’s easier build than the jlf/ls32 one

===========

there are a few people that think i am making big profits on these cases… truth be told, i am barely breaking even on it…

it cost me $75-$80 an hour for the CNC guy and time on the machine to prototype the box… spend about 8-10 hours on the job… then i have to contract the carpenter to do the assembly and i have to buy boxes, pack them and ship them…

there was also extra time spent going back to the prototype to rearrange the button config and the support LS32… something that was very last minute but was not rushed in quality

the primer was done in a professional paint both and guys who picked it up locally can attest to the quality of the finish

it’s been a good experience being the middle man… but i would rather give it up than stand accused of “ripping” you guys off

-joe

It really does not matter how much you are making on the cases. Even if it cost you $5.00 and you made a $75.00 profit per case. The price is obviously where it needs to be. i.e. you have a waiting list. Why anyone other than you cares what your expenses are is beyond me…if they can do it less expensive and it’s justifiable for them to do it then they would.

Now, someone sell me some OSBN-30 White’s or PS-14-KN Transparents

lol… i know… it just makes me upset because i have a good day job and i don’t need this hassle… you guys can see that i work late night to get the boxes packed and drop them off on the way to work in the morning …

anyways… how many OBSN-30 whites do you need anyways

-joe

6 would work. Just don’t want to buy Orange or Blue ones that seem to be the only color avilable atm. If you have any, or know of anyone that does I would greatly appreciate any info.

Thanks,

James.

My brother was big into RC Cars and he made these test stations out of project boxes. The demand was huge and he didn’t make money off them. He just did it because he liked the hobby. Well, after a while, the haters came out and accused him of being too expensive or stealing someone elses design, or whatever they could come up with. He sold a shit ton and eventually stopped because the work wasn’t worth it for all the grief he received.

I would keep making your boxes if only for the fact that people do appreciate your work and let the community handle the tards. You should call them out on the forum and embarrass them.

totally agreed. if it were not for you doing this i would not be getting two great cases to play with.

dude if he can find a way to profit while selling stuff at this low volume then you should admire him not trash him. Calling out the idiots is a waste of time too. If your efforts aren’t appreciated its a lot easier to just quit doing it.

people feeling ripped off don’t have to buy the fucking thing, get a case from norris or buy a prebuilt… not like it’s going to be cheaper lol

I have to agree with everyone. Dont feed the haters. If people are sending you angry PMs just ignore. I really think your price is right , and i think you could increase it a little bit since there are some many people on the waiting list(including me).

I really wish there is another run for the jlf/ls32 box. If not , i understand because its a lot of work for little money.

I wish you the best sillypuddy!

there will always be haters… in the other forum i did call him out on it…

first he wants me and the wood worker to work for nothing

then i told him, fine, if you can make them for cheaper i buy them and just ship them to you guys

then he comes back and up charges people… nothing against that… but why diss me in the beginning

my offer / challenge to him still stands… but he changed the terms and claims I made it unfair for himm…

metal working is simpler than wood… metal is never crook… i have contracted guys to put in chrome molly roll cages in cars before… not like i haven’t looked at that route

i am not some kid at home wanting to make a quick buck… FTW

-joe

jtktam = sillypuddy btw…

anyways… I am asking the wood worker to make 10-15 more jlf/ls32 boxes (like the first batch) so you guys on the waiting list will get filled…

then it’s back to working on the Happ case prototype
