If you have the physical capability to learn how to play the piano or type 60 words a minute on a keyboard you can play fighting games. In the end it’s not a big deal though because the skill gap is only due to women’s lack of “nerdy competitive frame data crunching no shower taking or regard for looks guy” mentality than the fact that they physically don’t have the capability to play as well. It’s not like our minds overpower theirs just because a bunch of men and only 2 or 3 women probably helped in the production of the first SF game. Apparently women have a better sense of memory than men do so if anything I feel in the future women could be the queens of fighting games. If a girl wants it bad like we do…they’ll go for it and take it just like we do. Except they take showers I think.
Well I think it just relates to the fact that the genders clearly have different interest and priorities. There are very few elite women chess players for examples, so it probably just has more to do with the chismestry of the brain which is obviously producing these demorphic variences. It would be cool if there was more women gamers, but I somehow feel the girl"geek"will only be a minority and niche demographic.

I agree with the theory myself.
Men are more task oriented,which is why most extreme case of dedicated nerd are male.I saw a lot of crazy gamers while playing WOW.A couple of guys in my guild did quit their jobs in order to keep a spot on the raid roster and achieve a 100% attendance rate. :sad: The women who were raiding with us would never go to such insane extreme.
Raw skill alone is never enough to succeed in any competitive field,so you need the dedication.Few people possess the drive to survive and excel in competitive fields,so even less women.

heh i’ve seen sherryj at AI a few times… can hold it down with viper. dope 330ci too.
WoW is pretty complex. Granted there isn’t that much execution but you need an extremely intimate understanding of the game to even compete (in arenas, which is the venue of competition).
