You’re getting the stick, so that’s fine, but generally if anybody indicates to me that they want a particular stick and it’s a decent stick, I’ll be bidding on it pretty immediately (well, assuming we’re within 5 days of the end of auction) and worry about the details later since either they’re going to pony up or somebody else will. shrug I’m not trying to make any money here (ask Magnetro), just help people out - I’m sorry our bids collided, cuz that kind of sucks for you. But hey, you’ll get the stick in the end anyways, so it all works out…

EDIT: The PS command stick and the PS command pack from here (18-79, 18-82) have arrived at Amajin’s, and he’ll be sending those out Feb 6th, so it’ll probably be at my place Feb 10th.

18-79 and 18-82 (Command Pack and Command Stick) from here were acquired 1/24 and should be in the US 2/9 or so. (I paid 11034y for these two, it’ll be about ~2500y shipping to the US.)

We should have kamui’s stick in Tx, Magnetro’s collection in Cali - I don’t know if Florida or NY have programmable controllers to toy with…? Since we may be getting three sticks here, I’d suggest one to NYC/EC, one to Seattle/NW, and the other one… ?

Nobody from NYC/EC or Seattle/NW has really participated though, so i’m not exactly sure anyone else is interested. I support your idea of distributing by region in theory, but i’m not so into it if nobody out there cares enough.
Yeah, just trying to make sure we cover the basic bases here. I know that Murakumo (formerly of Everett, I think up at Bellingham right now) had a programmable pad (I think he and Magnetro were supposed to split j00’s old pad…?), and so that’s why (besides selfishness wrt some things I’ve thought about…) I had us/Seattle in mind too. I can vouch that a controller in my hands will be available to those in the PNW that want to borrow it.
I figure once the bases are covered (hopefully one controller per region), we can move easily into whoever wants it gots it. And if nobody from the NYC/EC area wants one(?), I’d presume the Cali kids would be excited. It is a niche market, though, and it’s hard to know who would really take advantage of the stick once they had it.
DUDE. I would want one, if I had any fucking money. A hori command stick would be sweet. You can use those as regular sticks too right? It would make some things I try to do so much easier.
Yeah, they’re regular sticks, they just allow for macros in addition to normal operations. They’re definitely not tournament legal for obvious reasons, and they’ll run you probably a minimum of $50 more than a comparable stick from eBay.
I’ll be getting the next batch Feb 9th or so… if you’re up at the March party you can toy with whatever one Seattle ends up with.

If you can’t see the auction, that’s because it’s finished - they lock their completed auctions to members-only.
OK - Eidrian, then Toxy (stick preferred, either OK, ~151000Y lim). Any preference between pad vs stick, any specification on max amount you’re willing to bid on the auction? They’re both of course fairly hard to find, but pad is generally much easier to get from what I’ve seen so far. Auctions typically run about 5000-8000Y. I’ll typically bid a max of about 7500Y or so, since I do have to front the money. =\
id prefer stick, but pad would do just fine, all i would like is it to be easy to learn to use and not too complicated since the instructions would be in japanese, oh and about 200AU limit
