you can do M smart bomb and L repulsor twice to squeeze a bit more damage but the one you’re using is fine as well.
O just saw the tac infinits from the first post.
Doesn’t he has some of the fly/unfly last hit that makes those much easier (like magneto and storm I guess)?
His smart bomb>OTG ones are already easy, though he probably does.
Unfortunately I really don’t think Iron Man has anything better than OTG L Smart Bombs -> air throw for resets. In the corner you can end a combo with OTG H Smart Bombs you can do dash under L Repulsor Blast and attempt to reset the combo that way but its risky if your opponent knows how to block it.
I’m sure my kind is hated around here, but I’m finding that while my interest in Tony is rather low, my interest in Unibeam only grows. So I’m wondering, as anchor IM (for better or worse), what are the more typical ways I’m going to land my hits?
I assume in an anchor battle w/ no assists and lots of flying around, I can’t really count on landing clean point-blank range cL’s to confirm from. What do you guys recommend instead, neutral-wise? I actually kinda dig his air dash acceleration, but do I get much off a long distance addf/add jH or jS? Can Tony get any kind of combo off an air grab (this question I can research on my own, I know)?
I’m definitely not looking for fancy optimized shit, but just some sort of ABC so I can do better than single hits. In particular if I have XF3 at the ready (Dante’ combos go from tricky to brain-dead in XF3, any such luck w/ IM?). And even more than specific combos, just any kind of general mindset or game-plan. IM’s movement seems pretty cool, and I can do a decent job running away and being mobile, but I’m like… ok, now what? lol Cause at this point when I give Unibeam a go, I feel like I’m just playing 2-man teams. 2 very very strong men, but 2 nonetheless.
Thanks!
Anchor IM’s combo. (I wish I was trolling, but this is pretty much how AnchorMan works.)
level 3 > follow-up
Anti-air RB > level 3 > follow-up
far c.M, s.HxxUB > level 3 > follow-up
easy XF3 combo: c.M, s.Hxxfly, j.MMHS j.MMdHS j.MMdHSxxPC (I think it’s almost 1.3mil. If that gets you to the corner and you can do it, end with j.MMdHSxxRBxxSpread, (dash RBxxSpread)xN.
What does tony get from long distance addf j.H/S? Grabbed. You can try to cancel it into flight at wierd timings or dash down in flight and dash cancel the H into an add H > Unfly and it’s not as bad. In general, though, full screen air dashes aren’t very useful. Try to have them blocking a SB whenever possible, be unpredictable if you can’t do that, stay on the ground and go with smart defensive play if you have 3+ bars since everything should convert into a kill.
Does tony have combos off throws? Yes. From SJ-height, you have to still have your air dash available, then you just addf > land > smart bomb. If you’re inbetween that, you can do SB > adf > j.MHS > combo. If you’re at normal jump height, land > SB > (dash if needed) > combo.
What is iron man flight combo with the minimum or no air dash cancel relaunch combo after S superjump.
So…I see that the team building thread isnt very active…at all…so I figure Ill just ask here.
What are Iron Man’s most useful assists…Im already running Dante, so lets take Jam Session out of the equation. Anyways…yeah. Opinions? I know Merkyl is probably going to say Log Trap…anything other than those two assists though that really help him?
Oh…I already know about drones too lol. Im trying to stay away from Sent.
Congrats. You know all of his useful assists. You can use missiles too. Lockdown stuff works ok too. Cold star… Anything that let’s you touch them without having to worry about having garbage mobility options.
Also. Didn’t think about it earlier, but in xf3 you get easy confirms off ground throws too. You just have to throw> full dash> smart bomb>c.M etc.
Oh yeah…Log trap.
I feel bad for neglecting our shit here. Again if they’re any changes to the OP that you guys would like for me to do to it don’t hesitate to let me know
Is there a specific input that you have to do to get Repulsor Blast Spread into another Repulsor blast? The most times I’ve done it was two, and not without the help of an assist.
Nothing super special. RB > spread > dash > RB spread. Off an OTG assist do cr. H to get them to the right height. Otherwise it’s usually just assist + smart bombs (some assists require you to dash back first)
If you look at my IM + Log video I found a way to link full range RB H with no spread into RB L. I don’t know if it’s going to have any practical use though.
