What’s up people, it’s Andy from TGA. I wanted to give you some news and updates.
Our website has been down for over a week now due to a server crash. Unfortunately I am at the mercy of the ISP, when they fix the server problem TGA will be back up. I apologize for the delay.
Future Plans
I have been working night and day to keep TGA not only up and running, but to keep improving it.
August and September have been hard financial months due to two Bemani upgrade kits being released for September. In addition I got hit with a $2000 annual license fee.
However when I got word that GGXX Slash was being released, I took the hit and ordered it. The kit was VERY expensive, but I wanted you to know that I am true to my word that I WILL keep the fighting games new, fresh and in perfect working condition. I want TGA to be the best for you and I will do whatever it takes to do so.
So why all the talk about finances? Here’s why, it relates to the future plans.
I asked Gavin to post a poll to see what you guys wanted for the fighting room.
I’ve come to the decision that it would be in our best interest to make another doubles cab. My vision for TGA is for EVERYTHING to be a doubles cab, but it’s going to take time to get the finances to get this moving.
I know everyone wants more room, I do too, but I had to make a decision between upgrade kits and more room. The reality is that the reason you have been so supportive of TGA is because I’ve given you the best and I keep the machines in immaculate condition. That’s what you deserve.
If I were to sign a lease and get more room, my operating expenses would double and the budget for the fighters and Bemani games would get cut. We wouldn’t be able to get upgrades or parts to keep things running.
So for the immediate future here’s the plan.
I am going to sacrafice puzzle fighter and make another doubles cab for 3rd Strike. We can switch this to GGXX Slash later if that’s what you want.
I believe that a small fighting game room that has the newest games from Japan with perfect sticks and doubles cabs is better than a big room with old and broken games. I think you’d agree.
So all I can say is that in the near future, we will be staying in the back, but you can count on upgrade kits and hopefully before the end of the year 1-2 more doubles cabs.
TGA possibly closed for 2 weeks in September
I am going to Japan in September to get the Slash upgrade kit, plus spare / new parts to keep the fighting cabs in perfect condition and the equpment to support our current and future doubles cab(s).
Because of this TGA might be closed for 2 weeks in September. I am still working out scheduling and will do everything I can not to close but I might have to. I will post something as soon as I get confirmation on the closing dates.
When we re-open, we will have the new doubles cab set up, GGXX Slash and some new Bemani upgrades.
ALSO, if there is ANYTHING in Japan you are looking for please shoot me a pm and I will pick it up for you while I’m over there.

IMO, ST is the best head to head.

I think ST should go in the PF cabb. Head 2 Head are nice… but there is no room in there to have multiple head2head. I would wait to get the other room b4 you get multiples head2head cabb.
I’m not a ST player… but I would like to play it, just for fun. That’s prob the only game that TGA doesnt have. Well, ST and Tekken… but I say wait for T6. DO NOT GET Tekken 5.1 since no one will play it. Tilt has 2 machines and nobody plays there since the upgrade is trash.

I really like the mvc2 cabinet where the second player side isn’t off to an angle like the 3rd strike cabinet.
Those are bomb…why not get rid of puzzle fighter cab and hook it up with 3s as a head to head??? but, then, what would the girls play?

Any you should def switch alpha 3 to super turbo u will your money back fast. just put the st machine at 25 cent a game everyone be playing that shit, game is fast pace so only takes seconds to lose lol

out here in tuah i found the only SF3:3s machine, met up with the 3 locals to SLC that play it, and i have to admit, one of them was VERY good. Learned some nice dudley shit from him, so i’ll be bringing duds and necro back.
3s and cvs2 are going to be my only games most likley, i’m WAY too far behind in marvel and well i dont find it worth learning since i wont be able to compete.
Also to everyone in the area. I decided on getting a modded x-box instead of an arcade machine, not only will it allow another TV to go into my basment but it will allow for me to get another custom stick 100% sanwa.
I have a few good weeks ahead of me for fighting games… this weekend i head to Family fun arcade as well as UCLA’s arcade sunday and monday, then the weekend following that i will spend at TGA. Then the weekend after that i go to CTF for 3 days, along with buying that modded x-box
Reason i am getting the x-box is simple, i am traveling alot and i really cant bring all my disks and shit, as well as there are more then just 2 games that i want to get into. I can also play online on lag box live at both my moms and dads, so i will never be away from competition.
I already have sold 3/4 of my diablo II stuff and i am now 100% dedicated to fighting games.
Wish me luck cause i sure as hell will need it.
