This was my first trip to TGA, and I had a great time. Thanks to the staff for making me feel welcome from the very moment I stepped through the door.
I was the Red Ken player, good games to all I fought in the tourney, and casuals. I’m really impressed by the level of skill in the players, definitely the best competition in MA I’ve seen.
I’m eager to come back to TGA and practice more on the Japanese cabinets, it felt so awkward and cramped at first opposed to my hori – but I figured to change the button layout to move everything over to left (use L1,L2 as jab,short to accommodate to the JP cabinet feel). The layout bugged me out at first… but fortunately, thanks to Free play, I had like 5 hours before the tourney started, and I got the hang of it.
Good shit, Rage. Your Dudley was fierce, you knocked me out just like Nestor’s Dudley. I’m going to be doing a lot of practice for this match-up, hope to see you at the next ranbat even though it was a hell of a trip for you.

I’m 10 minutes from Boston, long time SRK lurker, new to “the scene”.
I’ve been playing 3s for about a year, but the only competition I’ve experienced is my small group of friends, and gaming conventions.:rolleyes: I don’t go to the BHCC or MIT gatherings, not even sure if they play 3s there… That’s why getting beat at TGA felt so good, my losses gave me a lot of inspiration to get better and come back improved. I will prove this next April, thanks again for kicking my ass with Pink Dudley.
to whoever that urien/akuma player was, i definitely saw you walking through my neighborhood when i was driving home the other day. You were by the somerville projects. If you live there, you literally live 2 minutes from my house.
If you guys want to get together for 3s and cvs2 (not sure if you guys play it), let me know. The more players trying to get better, the better off we are. Your Urien/Akuma was tight as hell, i was watching you do all those tackles with urien in the corner (which i cant do for the life of me) and Kara-Demoning people. Good shit. Get back at me.
